Hey guys, here's my latest article found on my blog at:
http://thehonestlifeblog.wordpress.com/2012/09/05/moving-forward-into-true-happiness/
If you like it, please come to the site, like/follow/comment, and share it with your friends. Thanks!

A lot of times when things in our lives seem to be going wrong, we get scared and fear the coming changes. It’s very similar to what I was saying in my post, "Losing the Fear"“ when I said that we are scared of the unknown.

After my first week of the new semester, I’ve meet new friends, lost old ones, and I’ve come to a situation where I have to choose between staying with a love interest that doesn’t make me fully happy or moving on in hopes of finding better relationship with someone else.

For awhile, I was too scared to move forward because I was worried about not finding someone else; that I wouldn’t find a girl that was as good looking, or as smart or fun to be around as she was. But after thinking long and hard I realized that we ALL deserve to be happy, not just satisfied and comfortable.

Taking the leap of faith into uncertainty is never an easy thing to do. I guarantee that half the people reading this are in a similar situation to me.

Stop drowning yourself in worry and fear. Swim for your life and you’ll start to live a truly honest life. Things tend to work out the way they’re meant to. Trust in the Universe and everything will work out for the best and long as you keep fighting the good fight.

Love,

Jack

Actually no one deserves happiness and in fact your blog dictates the complete opposite that one must reach in the depth of the incertainty to pull out new discoveries and worths equal to attaining happiness rather than a person deservedly expects happiness:

"Swim for your life and you’ll start to live a truly honest life. Things tend to work out the way they’re meant to. Trust in the Universe and everything will work out for the best and long as you keep fighting the good fight."

As people a part of a society, we don't deserve happiness, but culturally aware that we must work to build a happiness or at least a satisfactory level that suits our needs and conforms with how society functions (hence the American Dream).

The pursuit of happiness is a desire to seek something beyond the comfort, but can also metabulize as its own happiness. The idea of "trusting the universe" seems more like an abstract way to say: "worry about what you can do rather than the eventual consequences beyond your control"

That's just a depressing way to think of life, no isn't it. So you're saying that because we aren't hermits that we don't necessarily deserve true happiness, that we need only to work hard to sustain a mere satisfactory life? If we lived every day striving for "good" instead of "great" or "satisfied" instead of "happy," we'd all be depressed.

How is that depressing? As youths, we determine our interes, what makes us happy, etc.
In relationships, we determine what traits we enjoy the most, etc.

After determination and self-identification, you are able to see what you need to work towards to get what you want.

"Trust in the universe", really, that's the line you wanna go with? This blog seems very hippieish. Let your body and soul float into the stream of tranquillity and let your inner creature guide you onto a path of righteousness. Not a bad post if you're just trying to chill with some green tea on some bean bags, but if you're writing this in hopes of truly inspiring someone, then it's back to the drawing board bucko.

About 56 million people die every year. My only question is... do you think trusting the universe helped them?

Bad things happen. It's not a "test" and things aren't going to get better unless you make them. And even then, sometimes things get worse anyways. But keep trusting in the universe. Maybe it won't make you one of those 56 million....

At least not this year.

I appreciate the feedback. Sorry I couldn't help you as much as you would have liked. There are others that find my writing to be extremely helpful and I enjoy writing new posts as often as possible. It helps me just as much as it helps them. Hopefully you'll find a post or two that you like, and if not that's ok too.

Trusting in the Universe won't save your life. You're going to die, as am I. It's inevitable. I'm saying that you need to trust that everything will work out the way it is meant to, not the you'll suddenly become immortal.
