EPTCurrently, I am like 95% sure I am going to go, but it seems that I need to figure out how long I want to stay. Basically I could go from October - December, or October - March. I want to go for the entire winter, but I don't know if I would go crazy from not having any common interests with coworkers, or any place to go to meet people around my age (I'm 26).
What is it like at CERN, and what is there to do near or around there in the wintertime? It looks to me like there is some skiing/snowboarding nearby, which would be a plus, but this only comes from looking at a map, and everyone I know who has gone there for work was not into winter sports, so they didn't have much to offer in that category.
Also anyone here that lives near CERN, or has in the past who could help me out with better understanding what it's like to live out there, it would be greatly appreciated if you would drop an opinion as to whether you liked/hated living there and why.
