Do people really respect his slightly unorthodox style, or is there some other reason? Is he just considered good all around and has just been unlucky in not taking home a big win?

Nerchio's HSC win, or Manas DH win. Do people really respect his slightly unorthodox style, or is there some other reason? Is he just considered good all around and has just been unlucky in not taking home a big win? Thorzain, if he wouldn´t have won dh would be in the same place as Sase, consideration wise. Sase just haven´t been able to snatch that big win like his swe brothers. Same story goes with morrow. Also (but more irrelevant) + Show Spoiler + It´s the best players per month not who performed best overall Be ready everyone to see major rocketing that list btw

the "following list" is kinda weird when you look at Axslav or even BlinG being higher than lets say elfi I also think KrasS belongs to the group of BratOK, SjoW, Naama etc and DBS should probably be there aswell when you list Theognis. also roof is better than half of the Zergs you mentioned as following for example Zikto, Targa, Naugrim and a few more. overall nice list once again , always enjoy reading these even though I don't agree with a lot of small details.

Matter infact you could take all the players in top 9 after Stephano and compare them to Stephano and they woulnt even come close to Stephano´s result or win ratio l8tly and thats when we combine them all.. His win ratio just in 2012 is 259 wins - 107 losses (70.77%). Its so insanely high its allmost unreal. his ZvP ratio is 114 wins - 32 losses (78.08%) and in a game as volatile as sc2 its unheard off and no1 in the world got a better win% in that matchup then Stephano. If we look at stats and results Stephano is actually better then the 9 next foreigners if we combine them. Yes I know its quite insane

But he didn't do that well at MLG Summer Arena, only beating Goody. He didn't do that well at HSC V, where Nerchio, Ret, Hasuobs, or silvko outperformed him. Thorizain, Naniwa, and SortOf outperformed him at WCS Sweden. He didn't even make it out of his first group at ASUS Summer. Should be around 6-7th imo. ye, he had his weak moments and didnt look very strong. but neither did kas, ret, dimaga, thorzain and even nerchio didnt perform great (notice: his hsc5 win was included in last months ranking already). thats why he barely maintains it

Also I think HuK is still much to high. In the last month he lost to Naama, Seiplo (ASUS), Xenocider (MLG Qualifier), Scarlett, TT1, TubbytheFat (WCS Canada) and failed to qualify for TSL. All guys (and girls) I mentioned are not in the top 30. His last win was online and in June. Otherwise I agree mostly, again thanks for the ranking.

Yes I know its quite insane Yeah, I feel France should get a +500 or something on that nation list just for Stephano ![]() I feel you overrate Americans a lot. HuK, Select, Sheth and IdrA haven't achieved anything noteworthy since long. In comparison, Cytoplasm (9-0 currently against Stephano, gave HerO a run for his money at summer arena), Sortof, NightEnd or Naama (strong performances at ASUS ROG), JohnyRecco (TSL4 run) or Ziktomini (2-0 Stephano, WCS England) deserve to be placed higher - they actually win games. Also with the beating Scarlett gave HuK at WCS Canada, i think his placing so much higher is a bit strange. Also of course with IEM Nerchio and Vortix look pretty good :D

But it's so hard to rank foreigners, besides Stephano I feel like anyone from rank 2-70ish can beat each other without it being a true upset. Look at Snute now doing great in Campus EU for example, beating Ret, BabyK, ForGG and Socke.
