EPTI played my first ladder "session". It ended up being only five games due to playing way to late in the night and having things to do in the morning.
PvZ: This was my first matchup where I went for a half assed +1 timing to try and do some damage, maybe deny a third, and safely aqquire a third base. To say the least my opponent was caught off guard. He had three fully saturated bases and absolutely no defenses except for a fex roaches and a couple of spinecrawlers so I ended up killing him and finishing the game right away.
PvP: The second matchup. I opened with a 3gate robo hoping to expand pretty safely but I scouted a four-gate, a weird four-gate but I decided to put off my expansion and focus on defending. He didn't come for quite a while so I decided it was safe to expand and did so but found his army and proxy pylon. This was a fourgate hitting at 7:30. At this time I had a couple of immortals so I just pushed him back and followed him home to his base and killed him.
PvT: I didn't manage to see if he was one-rax expanding because I lost my probe to a couple of marines so I decided to go for a 3-gate expand and started producing sentrys and zealots. at around ten minutes a massive army of marines hit my natural and I wasn't able to hold it off for long. I lost my natural but recuperated in my main and buildt up a force enough to take his marines out. I proceded to go for a zealot-archon mix and ended up winning after taking a fourth base.
ZvT: This is where it got really weird. The terran went for some sort of a 2-rax expand in to mass banshee to wich I lost my main. I buildt a bunch of sporecrawlers in my natural as well as a spire and started producing mutalisks which eventually won me the game off of three bases.
ZvZ: I just went for the same build that filtersc recommends in his tutorials but due to me not being attentive enough of the minimap a bunch of speedlings ran in to my main just after I made a huge round of drones so I ended up loosing due to my clumsiness.
General thoughts: I don't really think there is a lot to analyze due to this being so low league and a lot of weird things happened. Hopefully I can take some more time to laddering in the future so I get in more than just five games, but for now I am just way to tired.
