![]() Hopefully sc2 will shape into bw, where the skill levels get less continuous, more discreet. As it is now it might be good for a lot of foreigners, but ultimately a sport needs to be based on skill, not chance.

3. Please, please, PLEASE show more open bracket matches. I felt like the same thing happened to Scarlett in IPL 4, who really got no game coverage when she was likely one of, if not the, biggest stories at IPL 4. The only games I had streamed the whole tournament were the ones versus SeleCT in our first series. What about all the other players who made some noise at MLG? Axslav for example, who despite not doing so well in WCS, later went on a tear in MLG Open Bracket? Players like Sasquatch, who demonstrated solid play throughout both MLG and WCS but got literally ZERO exposure. All these players have unique personalities, many of them are AWESOME people with AWESOME stories and play AWESOME games – but it’s like they don’t even exist! This is a big problem with these tournaments. It feels like the pool players are actually the only players playing in a tournament. Everyone else is just useless buffer. I went to the tournament to spectate my team & favorite players. I knew that I'd languish in third-hand stories about how far this or that player went and what the matches looked like. This was NOTHING like the experience being directly behind the player you're rooting for and cheering every major victory. Holding your breath at every tense moment. Even the inverse view of the player's opponent trying hard to defeat your hero, which adds to the suspense in a whole other way. But some of the matches I really wanted to see occurred 3 rows in from where spectators/press are allowed to stand. EVEN when most of the 30+ computers sat empty, big matches were fought in the dead center, far from the fan's views. I knew CrazyMoviNG was losing based on the number of fuzzy dots of marines rolling all over, but had to squint and surmise most of what was happening (And I will be that nerd that brings binoculars to the next event, damnit. Although, given the squeamishness of the poorly-trained officials, it would risk banning.) Sandbox's matches were mainly unviewed by me; I had to ask him afterwards how they went, because he played just too far in the center of the open bracket clump. Insur's amazing run was about 50-50. Axslav, same story. I'm straining my eyes to view them at the edge of the barrier, knowing at least this isn't waiting for a twitter/irc feed telling me when he's won or lost. MLG still has a ways to go in many ways. And of the matches I missed, I'm still in doubt if I can relive the moment in a replay ... ever. I don't intend to bias myself out of useful discussion. If they stream a main stage, offstage, and 2 open bracket players, fans will clamor for 2 more open bracket. If they stream main, off, and 4 OB, you'll have disgruntled fans wondering how in tarnation they chose those 4 and missed the most important OB match there. And on we go. There's a limitation there: you can't please everybody and streams will not rise to the live event ever. I want more discussion on MLG's side to how much more can reasonably be done to show the exciting matches they generate to fans dying to see them. I'd like a big interactive bracket up one day where you can click upcoming matches to vote whether they're streamed on the final two streams. Grab a couple garden-variety youtube casters/teamliquid streamers (Heck, even eliminated pro-gamers) and pop them in that game. Keep at it Suppy! And MLG, your tri-view mainstage display was a step up from anything previous, keep going further.

But after that MLG run, and after reading this blog... I'm a fan. =D <3 P.S. Cal might beat us in Starcraft, but we won Big Game the past two years, sooooooo I'm okay with that ^^

If so I think Violet, Sleep, Puma, JYP, etc should be counted as American as well.

Sounds like he is grown and trained in the US that's the meta definition of American in SC2. What is your background Supply? You don't look Korean to me, but I wouldn't full know though....
