I should’ve blogged about this days ago but 9 days without D3 was too horrible for me. Good thing there’s a long ass server maintenance going on right now as I’m typing this.
So, it was May 22, 2012. The first thing I did after I wake up was to login to TL, and I was surprised. I was only preparing to watch the OSL Ro16 week 2 day 1 and get Flash’s autograph(if he wins), but I also saw KT vs Ace in the calendar. “I now have two opportunities to meet him,” I said to myself. Me and my dad went to the I’Park mall from Namsan Tower through the Seoul subway system(that thing is ballin’. I want one for my country, but that’s impossible) earlier than planned to catch the first Proleague game. It’s BW and Flash is playing. I was confident that he will win, but then I saw his opponent, M18M. The one of the few who has a winning record against Flash(I miss UpMaGiC T_T) and even never lose a single game to Him. Flash won the game so whatever. Game of the night IMO considering how the rest of the games are disappointing. Me and my crappy hangul(My hands were really shaking at that time) were also captured within that game. Notice how the first line’s size starts shrinking and the rest just became too small to read.

And yes, those are empty seats behind me. There are so few people that even I arrived when the games are almost starting, there are still seats available in the front and some in the sides in front of the teams. I just couldn’t remember how I ended up choosing a terrible position in the middle of the KT side other than being dumbfounded at the fact that I’m standing in front of the gates of heaven E-sports stadium’s door and the starleague Hall of Fame thingy is within my sight. There were people arriving late even until the SC2 half and no one was leaving after the BW games boycotting the sc2 half but 50% of the seats were occupied MAX. KT lost and I didn’t get to meet them so there’s nothing much to say after that. As soon as the OGN dudes sent us outside, people already started to line-up for the OSL. Unlike the PL match earlier, there were a lot of people enough to fill in all of the seats, probably people from work/school.
I got this…maybe
First game again. Flash again, but unlike the SPL game earlier, I’m only praying for a single game.
“Heo Yeong Moo, hana, dul, set!” “ Heo Yeong Moo hwaiting!” they said. I waited. I anticipated.
“Lee Young Ho, hana, dul, set!” the fangirl said. “Lee Young Ho hwaiting!” we shouted. I felt we were one. I felt like a true fan.
JangBi, being too predictable with his proxy robo, decided to DT rush this time like the champ and protoss hero he is. Flash decided to go Bachanic which gave Him 1 early comsat, but He didn’t scan Jangbi’s base as soon as it finished. After some seconds, just as He guessed, the DT appeared, and He used his only scan at that moment to kill one and injure the other DT, which got killed without detection. The audience was Wow-ing for a minute but surprisingly and unexpectedly, Templar tech was good against Bio, so Flash lost. I had 2 opportunities and none worked. I even brought a permanent silver sharpie and bought a mousepad just to make that one autograph awesome. I was desperate. I saw people standing up when the ads were going on after the game and thought to myself “They’re still going to approach Him, I might still have a chance.” Everyone said that I can’t approach a player who lost but I thought you were wrong. I followed Flash's fans and meet up with Flash outside. They were comforting Him and someone even gave a gift. I approached Flash with my mousepad and sharpie after the fans are done with their comforting speeches. Flash, being the awesome guy He is, was smiling the whole time and agreed to give a foreigner His autograph but just as He almost grasps the sharpie, the fangirls shoved me off like guardian angels protecting their Master. Then, before my brain was able to process what just happened, they’re already gone with Flash, leaving me QQing and realizing my mistake.
I went back with my dad to our seats and watched the other games. I thought to myself “I shouldn’t let the most awesome day in my life be remembered with failure and regret. I remembered n.Die_soO delaying Stork’s 100th OSL win (I even realized that if Stork 0-3s his group then he’s stuck with 99 wins forever), so I just waited for the last game to come. Just right after game 3 ended, I heard a familiar voice. He is directly behind me. His name is “CJ woo guy”. I looked at him just to have any idea on what he looks like. We shared a glance and I was the first to look away. Oh well, he started WOO-ing when they showed Horang2. I’m getting annoyed with him as much as everyone else whenever I hear him over the stream, but that day, I realized how awesome he is, making hundreds of different WOO-ing variations in one game. He has a nice voice micro, like a cartoon dubber or something. Stork eventually won the game and the CJ woo guy was still WOO-ing, making me confused on which side he is on.
After the ceremony, a lot of people rushed outside. We saw Hydra and Horang2 come out. I was surprised because a) There are more people approaching Horang2 than Hydra asking for autographs and b) Horang2 lost. Come on! Maybe if I explained to Flash and his angels that I’m Filipino and that was my only opportunity to approach Him, maybe Flash could’ve convinced His fangirls to let me come near Him . More regret clouded my thought, but there’s nothing I could do about that now and I understand why they did that and I knew I was wrong. We waited for about 20 minutes until Stork finishes the post game interviews. He eventually came out and we swarmed around him like zerglings. I was the third one to ask for an autograph.
Yes, that's an SCToo shirt, but I'm a "BW Elitist," so I don't know how that happened

After that, we rushed back to our hostel since it is really late and we have to check out that night because we’re heading to Jeju the next day. The question now is, should I use the mouse pad?
Auction maybe?
Everyone that I asked IRL said that the sign will eventually wear out if I use it but I used a permanent silver sharpie. I don’t know how “permanent” it is though. Should I frame it or something? I’m really itching to use it since I’ve been using a cheap one for like 2+ years and it’s the first time I bought a good mouse pad. Just in case people experienced with sharpie tells me that it will eventually wear out, I already bought an awesome 4$ IU mouse pad.
Final fantasy > Qck
Wow, this blog ended up longer than I expected. My First and only BW experience wasn’t as good as I had hoped and too bad I’m pretty sure I won’t be going back to Korea anytime soon so that was definitely the last, but I still think I’m blessed, since I was given the opportunity not most foreign BW fans will ever have before the full transition. Thanks for reading guys! Have a good day!

jk :D nice stork autograph... too bad i may never get a flash autograph for as long as a live TT.TT
Yeah, I don't really care that much for stork's autograph but as respect to his fans, I'll take care of it as much as I would do for a Flash autograph :D. I will never sell it to any Khan fan though .

Meeting Fantasy on the next day could've been awesome but 22nd May is the only day we didn't have anything scheduled . Hell, I could've even watched T8 vs KT if I were free during the 27th and meet either Flash or Jaedong.
