EPTIt can work for all races so no worries if you are Z T or P
Coming from World of Warcraft I am a hotkeywhore,
and learning this game from Bronze-Grandmasters I started to use this system way back in the day.
Note: If you have small hands this prob will not work for you
How to test if you have a big enough hand?
Take a basketball and try to palm it, if you struggle you might be able to use this.
I try to be as time-effective as i can be in this game
Scrolling to bases was bad so i hotkeyed my hatcheries
so
1-5 Are my hatcheries 6-0 is my army(alt, you could 1-5 queens)
BUT
i add a alternative hotkey, 6-0 becomes F1-F5
This way I can keep my entire hand on the left hand side of the keyboard and I never have to move and you also are able to keep track of your bases quite easily.
Anything above 4 bases means you have to map click to your base, but pros do that to.

if youre wondering about clicking unworking harvesters i just spam click on the picture to get any harvesters that are AFK. I hardly have more than 3-5 idle workers though
