can you go more into specifics about why you think the slim fitting stuff looks bad. and also how it relates to being hipster and arrogance.
i wear slim fitting stuff because it looks good on me (skinny/athletic frame) and i don't like extra fabric hanging off of me.
also the standard for shoulder to shoulder length on a blazer is the same regardless of classic or slim fit. it's pretty much the most important aspect of the suit because it's very hard to tailor.
If you're going for a classy suit, I'd recommend the suit Barney Stinson occasionally wears in "how I met your mother" The black one with a black undershirt and a black tie, top it off with black leather dress shoes and you instantly become classy as fuck.

It just looks ill fitting to me. Dunno why @.@
could be just your body type. Certain stuff look good on some people, while other stuff doesn't. It's what works for you.
I, for one, look pretty nice in a slim fit. but that's cuz I'm tall, skinny, and a bit on the lanky side.
Ah watches my favorite fashion piece. Those and shoes are what make or break a guy outfit to me.
And I agree with the too tight too short analysis of some clothing. Guys have the advantage of looking classy when they're comfortable, why would you give that up for being a "hipster"?

Trying to choose color for tie/hanky on tux. Leaning toward red... will get tomorrow.
You going with a girl? And red is a nice color I guess. And if the tux shop place is knowledgeable, you can always ask for help.
Yeah, who is wearing black dress.
Ah dude. What a coincidence. My date was wearing a black dress as well. and I wore this burgundy, reddish color. It looked pretty nice. Although I wore a slim fit, but I think that's inconsequential

But not for checking the time IMO; or maybe I was born in the generation where everybody has a watch, stopwatch, calendar, calculator, and whatever accessory you can think of (even speedometer) rolled into one: the mobile phone. :D
BTW, the last time I wore a watch was around four years ago. And I kinda understand what OP said about having the feel of something on your wrists.
I feel so old when I read stuff like this and I'm not even 20... Does no one else wear watches on a daily basis?
I'm 25 and I've pretty much never worn watches. It's uncomfortable and completely useless since you'll always have your phone... being without your phone though, THAT'S feeling naked.

seriously, it makes op sound insecure as fuck about the way he dresses
He's an idiot who has defined hipster as "Someone who tries harder than me".
He simultaneously wants to dress nicer, and yet not put any effort into his clothing because that would make him a hipster. I'd bet money he thinks a guy trying at fashion too hard is "faggy" too, even if he didn't say it here.
OP, you either want to try at fashion, or you don't. Pick, and STFU with your judgemental bullshit.

i'm 20 and i feel naked without my cheap digital watch. i wear it all the time and it is much more convenient when you're exercising/doing sports.
then again, i don't even have a texting plan, so maybe i'm just not getting this whole phone thing right. i'm one of those asians that only cares about the competitive aspect of gaming and not so much the technology associated with it (e.g. boxer).

I want to try to look clean, not to be fashionable. Plenty of people try harder than me and look nice.
No, people trying hard at fashion are people who try hard at fashion. There isn't anything wrong with that. I just have a problem with people acting superior because they dress expensive or wear leather shoes that look strange XD
