Why on earth, after a trade, would you feel obligated to reimburse the person?

Why on earth, after said bad trade, would you offer to give MORE than its worth? ($30 over the $20 you said earlier)

I don't believe any of this....

But wait... it doesn't make sense to make this up and make a blog post... so its likely true!

Flogic. How cute.

I don't believe any of this....

I once had a somewhat similar thing happen to me. A few years ago, a dude I know borrowed my paintball gun for a while, and I actually had to harass him big time in order to get it back. Like, I had to talk to his mother and explain to her that her son refuses to bring me back my paintball gun.

I didn't ask for anything, but as a compensation, he offered to give me this paintball gun, which was broken and missing parts - as an act of "good faith". Like I said, I really didn't ask for anything, it was just a good gesture. I took it, repaired it (it cost me about $100 in parts). Literally 3-ish years later, he contacts me on facebook telling me to give it back to him.

His argument was that he was only "lending" it to me. A non-functional paintball gun - why would I want to borrow that? People are dishonest.

That makes perfect sense.

The grandma asking for a higher value than what she's missing, then the guy agreeing to pay that higher value, does NOT make sense.

How this story should have gone:

1) 26yoGrandma: I want my game back or $60!
2) OP: bitchplease.jpg
3) walk away

People do that all the time, she's asking for the price she paid, the release price or whatever she found.

Don't give anything back.

The law is on your side.

There is nothing they can do.

Tell them to deal with it.

Ok man, I get that. That doesn't mean the dude has to stupidly agree to the price of $30 when he knows its only worth $20.

Your twin little brother borrowed a game from your 26 year old grandmother neighbor?

How does this woman have any sort of leverage in this situation, and why are you agreeing to any irrational demands?

The solution is so obvious I can't believe I have to tell you.

Take embarassing pictures of yourself wearing your brother's usual atire, and sell the pictures to the young granny for $60 to use as black mail against him, and then give your brother the $60 to give to her. Print the pictures with disappearing ink that only lasts a day to tie up loose ends and your problem is solved.

I love this gif. It perfectly represents the random internet guy's expression as epicness is about to unfold in front of him.
MJ does not fit in that environment, yet still he smirks as if everything around him was his.
