![]() Woody Allen always reminds me of an eccentric version of Noam Chomsky Any time I hear Woody Allen talk or see his movies I can't get enough of it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8t8v5w5UjcI The first movie of his I saw was A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy, when I was 18. It was sort of the first time I saw the more advanced and mature elements of romance and love play out, and Allen is probably the best at the topic. I was always taken in by his being so open about the messy details of intimate relationships. Later I saw Mighty Aphrodite, and I remember something about Woody's character trying to set up a dim witted porn star/prostitute with a good man in order to get her on the right path. I think she's Woody's daughter, or somehow related. I like his style and use of soliloquy to interlude scenes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxbYwn4-T7k&feature=related

We can see there is quite a distance with modern Conservative views to the more capitalistic-centered ideas of conservatism.

He's frank, but he always sort of ravels his way around lines and the way his characters talk, explain or react are both natural, comedic and real. It's just great. I love him with Diane Keaton and usually I would hate her female roles like I like Meg Ryan with Tom Hanks, but it's quite the opposite. I love her and her indecisiveness, her independent confused self, but willing to love and enrich her life with another person trying to fill a void of meaningfulness in her life.
