I like Tebow, I share his views, but this quote had me cracking up hahaha personally i'll be faith hilling cause tebowing is soooo 2011 (south park reference)
After reading the article I knew a South Park reference was bound to happen. Only took 4 posts. Good times.
640 million is ridiculous.

If I win, i'll be sponsoring OSL and proleague.
Not a bad idea. I will do that too and buy my own team.
Bringing back the Fingerboom.

If I was old enough I'd buy a few just for fun. Like someone mentioned, if you think that spending a few bucks on it just for giggles is worth it... then it's worth it. Nothin' wrong with that!
Oh yeah, I'd totally donate a bunch to TL too. I'd finally have a way to give back! Someone win and make the TSL4 prizepool insane! :D

Word, I'll hold you to that.
I didn't buy a ticket, but my parents did. There was a huge line at the store for the lottery ticket machine earlier. Sucks that probably none of them will win it...lol

im in an office pool of 70 tickets. i get 14%. i paid the poor man's tax. =D

I would fund NASL forever.

Mmm that analysis on why buying lottery tickets is never a positive-EV decision was pretty interesting.
|
Odds of winning jackpot are 176mill:1. The payoff odds are 426mill:1.
So you get positive EV for up to 2 plays.
But then again I'm not taking into account the possiblity of multiple winners so EV is maybe less...

bought my $5. Don't expect to win, but there's always a chance.

I don't expect to win either.

Yes, one person eventually gets a fuckload of money but I'm sure the money pulled in from all the ticket sales is worth it, before taxes even set in.
This is another reason why I didn't feel bad about buying lotto tickets when I lived in Georgia. The HOPE scholarship (the scholarship drawn from the lotto) paid for basically all my undergrad education. I didn't mind giving a few bucks back.

Yea. It's too bad the Hope scholarship is going away. They keep running out of money, and since they can't require the lotto to give more money (I'm not entirely sure why - they originally donated 29% of their profits, now it's something like 19%) they keep slashing funding. Won't last much longer since tuition and new students continue to rise.
But yea, I'm thankful for all the people in the world that don't understand probability. The uneducated funded my education. :O Not that there aren't a few swell guys out there like you buying a ticket to give back.

If I won I would give 1 mil to Flash
All he would need to do in order to get that 1 mil is to switch to SC2
hehehehe

I hope someone in this thread wins and sponsors an OSL. Or even better, an MSL !
