Do you guys become all philosophic and creative ?
Let me explain. Late at night, when I'm tired and about to fall asleep, yet I'm fighting it a little and eventually go to bed really tired but not enough to fall asleep instantly upon laying down my head... I start to think so much, about everything and anything. My thoughts are so much clearer, it's like at that one moment, I gain new perspective and could solve all my problems.
I get more creative too, as I lay in bed, I produce songs in my head, I freestyle raps, I make up stories and my mind makes me see things. And it comes so easily while these kind of thoughts and that kind of creativity doesn't come during the day.
I only enter that state when too tired to put that increase in creativity and thoughts to any other use than masturbating. And stupid me always wakes up the next morning disregarding everything that happened during the night.
I feel more intelligent when I'm about to fall asleep lol. I feel a little smarter at night in general too, I'm definitely a night person. The temperature is better at night. The darkness of the night soothes and calms me, walking the empty streets, looking at the night-sky and the calm darkness ahead of me. During the day there's too much shit going on, too much light, too much noise, too many people, to think...

Happens to me every night when I go to bed. It can be really annoying sometimes when I'm very tired and want to sleep but I can't because my brain thinks of so many things.

Write that shit down, then. Seriously, keep a small notebook for neat ideas next to your bed. Best case scenario, you wake up and get to read about all the awesome shit you've come up with but otherwise would have forgotten. Worst case scenario, you wake up and have a laugh at the ridiculous shit you thought was profound when half-asleep.

My favorite feeling when falling asleep is when my mind starts to wander and things become nonsensical. For a brief second I realize that what I'm thinking about making no sense and for some reason it makes me feel really good. Maybe because I know I am about to fall asleep.

Yeah, whenever I go to bed, I have a sudden urge to start writing something. I never know exactly what, but it generally comes out something over philosophical.
I'm trying to refine this so that I can actually write in a comprehensible fashion.

I have the complete opposite effect of you, whenever I'm laying in bed thinking its usually out of frustration of not being able to fall asleep because I have shitty insomnia frequently

In my thinking/dreams there is no need for kidnapping. But yeah I do think and dream about her quite a lot.

I definitely feel like I'm most productive when I wake up in the morning tho. At night, it's not productivity, it's creativity... I think. A lot different.

yea, whenever I go to sleep, some deep thinking will start and sometimes will stop me from sleeping for a few hours. kind of annoying lol

Haha, I actually came up with an idea to a book while trying to fall asleep. Then I got just more hyped about the book and then I couldn't get any sleep at all -.-

I don't get enough sleep. So when I'm tired, I'm really tired. I usually plop into bed and pass out. If I know I won't be passing out anytime soon, I'll listen to music. Wild tangent thoughts and reflection of the day is pretty common, I'll admit I don't have many Euraka moments while passing out.
My mind is sharpest a few hours after waking up. When I realized this, I purposely try to schedule exams and such for the morning.

I get pretty pensive while falling asleep.
Though recently almost every time I fall asleep I've started developing this weird feeling like I am falling, and I'll panic and flail around for a minute and realize that I haven't moved an inch ~_~

I find everything that has to do with dreams, sleeping states, sub-conscious, etc. To be very interesting.
I also have weird thing happen to me while I sleep. Sometimes, I feel insect on me while I sleep... I sometimes wake-up and jump off the bed in panic thinking that a spider landed on my face. A week ago, I spit out an ant from my mouth after drinking water in my dream and I felt like a sting, like the ant bite me or something and I woke up really scared. Why does stuff like that happen lol it's interesting.

i either don't think of anything and fall asleep within 5 minutes (most of the time) or i get depressed (sometimes). rarely there's just something bugging me like i'm getting way to hot and start sweating around because for some reason my bodies temperature control just goes haywire or because there's some stupid issue i can't figure out, then i lie around up to a few hours and just get angry and frustrated. but that doesn't happen a lot thankfully.

I usually get super depressed >_< I only go to bed once I'm super exhausted. It might as well be one of main the reasons to keep myself busy all day long.

When I go to bed I'm usually unconscious by the time my head hits the pillow.

I'm the same way, I brainstorm story ideas and do a lot of writing in my head as I'm falling asleep. Sadly, it never quite sounds as good when I type it up the next day though.
