A while back I posted about interpreting how a conversation went on facebook. I know a lot of you thought it was creepy that I posted the conversation and looking back on it, I would not have done it again. Anyways, I wound up sending another message to her and it lead to things from there, I got her number and we were texting each other a lot throughout the day for about a two month time period. Things were going good and I was hoping to ask her to prom.
Eventually she stopped responding to me and I facebook messaged her with some passive-aggressive response after not responding to me for a few days about how "life moves on" and how I was moving on from her. She then replied about how she was busy as to why she had not responded. Knowing that I had done the wrong thing, I decided to wait a few days and I sent her the sweetest text message I ever have in my life telling her "I wished to continue talking to her but if she won't that she is ( insert positive adjectives) and that I wished her the best in life. For three weeks I heard nothing from her until tonight.
She sent me a text message telling me happy birthday and telling me that she took what I said to heart. She then told me that she had been busy the past three weeks and also told me that due to the distance between us (3.5 - 4 hour drive) that it wouldn't be realistic for us to hang out. She also told me that we lead different life styles and she didn't want me to judge her for that. She then preceded to unload a lot of positive adjectives on me and wished me the best in life.
tl;dr I spent a couple months talking to not only the hottest girl; but also the girl I have connected with the most in my life, only to screw it up, try to make it right, then get a sweet text from her three weeks later giving me the closure I needed to move on in life.

Life moves on. But please, move on from the stupid facebook crap (for everyone's sake!).
Passive aggressive posts and make-up texts are very open to misinterpretation. Plus the timeline is aweful since you get responses that are few and far in between.

Well she worked with me for two summers as a lifeguard so in the summer she lived in my area, but is off at college now. If you really wanna see the conversation I can PM it too you though its not like its relevant anymore.

Bringing high school girls to college is like bringing a bucket of sand to the beach. It's gonna be really heavy and weigh you down, and there is a fuckton of sand when you get there.

Yeah I'm a senior in high school... she was two years older than me in college. Yep, I'm looking forward to high school being over.

I appreciate all the girl blogs on TL. Most of them have great entertainment value, for starters. Then there are people with awesome advices, troll attempts, and all sorts of other replies that make the thread shine. When the OP follows it up with what happened later, the satisfaction is "complete" for that particular blog, and the crowd moves on to the next.
This one... well, the story did not have a satisfactory ending. That is for sure. I'm sure all of us at TL sincerely wished the best for the OP (to get together with this girl / make things happen). 3.5-4 hour drive is indeed a long distance, but one of my friends is in a LDR which is about 5 hour drive (more like 3 because he fucking steps 130-150 km/h on an open highway). He goes over once every two weeks or so, you know, for some sexy time and shit. Sometimes they meet at a mid-point (which is the city where I live in) to spend time together. I am personally not up to such a challenge, and therefore cannot recommend it on a personal level. However, that friend and his girlfriend have been together for 1000+ days now. What am I trying to say? Some people can make it work.
As for how the shit went down, what's done is done and it's best to think more for the future. It is most likely that you'll find another that suits in similar ways. Maybe you'll find someone completely different but yet completely awesome too. I do recommend you keep in touch with this girl though, she sounds like a good person.
