So I just started playing Starcraft 2 after watching the ASUS Tournament late at night when I couldn't sleep. It really brought me back to playing competitive Starcraft and how the atmosphere was amazing. Stephano's Zerg really inspired me, he has an almost sauron type style. The Polt VS Lucky games were just amazing in general too.
So I'm starting to play Starcraft 2,but I'm not necessarily following builds because I want to learn what timings feel comfortable to me. I made it into Gold League, which means little to me because I know I'm going to improve. Just need to play games. I want to update this blog as much as possible to track my progress and also provide some entertainment to others that are curious.
For my history in Starcraft:BW I played in the very first World Cyber Games in 2001 @ LA Korea Town.
Anyways, I'm gonna cut this short since I kind of want to play more games and I'm excited to learn!
Here's my stream I'm going to be using in case anyone is interested in watching me lose!

edit: although yes, we don't have the results by nation hrm.

Froz placed first and went to Korea. Maynard was 2nd I believe and Whear(t)? was 3rd.

Hm, didn't know Nazgul got to play BoxeR. Kinda cool. Also, Germany won the National vs Korea? lol how did that happen?
Oh, on topic... so what was your nickname?
|
AmericanZerg, I used to play with Nazgul a lot.

Holy crap people shoved a lot of symbols into their names back then. Also, did you just come straight out of the gates into gold league? Because that's pretty impressive. Assuming you didn't play Starcraft for long enough to let your mechanics decay, you have a considerable amount of talent.

It's been about 11 years for me.

I don't want to rain on the parade just for the sake of it, but my first five 1v1 RTS games ever were my placement matches, and I got placed in gold league... It's nothing special. Your league doesn't matter at all until you have played a solid 40-50 games.
But hey... good luck lobotomy ! Although a name like doesn't sound like good foreshadowing for someone playing a strategy game

Just so you know (watching your stream) You can't get close-by-ground spawns on metalopolis, shakuras plateau or the shattered temple! Just saying since you scouted them GL!

We used to be able to use any characters early on in battle.net and yes some team tags were long or ridiculous.
Good luck bud. I don't think I could go that long without playing a RTS.

So you quit SC:BW for like 11 years, didn't look back and now start to play SC2? Thats just wow. Good luck!!
