Adblock is a great program, I've donated a considerable sum to the creator. It allows you to choose who and what to support instead of getting force-fed ads all day. I actually think this program should come default with any internet browser. For TL I allow ads, and for most streamers. Its the ones who press "3 ads" every 10 minutes that get blocked because ultimatley who should decide how you spend your precious minutes? Should you be subject to every 30 second or 2 minute advertisment without objection? Choose who is worthy of your valuable time.

there are plenty of ways around adblock for revenue, such as just playing ads on the stream itself. examples: kingston hyper x , or anything mlg related. \
Poor management is "killing" esports. we are blessed with only a few bright minds running the scene at the moment.

I'm so tired of having this huge "Korean girls dating" banner most of the time just because I like a game popular in Korea. Especially when I'm browsing results at office.
Fix that algorithm that thinks "video game => single nerd + Starcraft => Korea = Korean girls dating". It's almost insulting.
Use more adapted ads or gtfo.

i use adblocks on sites on streams etc and i hate MLG giving us so many ads wish i could just block them all as they abuse it and my screen goes black and press F5 oh great 5 more commercials

if twitch tv and streamers weren't so abusive, then i would. What i mean by that is, when you click on a stream to watch, you are first shown an ad before you watch the stream, ALWAYS. I seriously effing hate that. I usually opt to take a small peek at a stream that i choose to watch to decide if i should watch this or take a peek at another stream (stream surfing,to put it simply). That means i gotta watch an ad every time i change streams before i take a small peek at it. The ads last 30 seconds, the peek lasts for like 10 sec~1 minute. And then you have people like Artosis and incontrol, spamming the 'show ad' button.

I saw a few people who put ads in moderation (grubby and thorzain and some other euro progamer, forgot the name) and i turn adblock off for those people. I find it strange that when i see streams, the european streamers go easy on the ad.

Impossible to watch anything if not using ad-block. It's just commercials popping 1-2 every minute.
Can't follow the games, it's stupid.

If it was at certain times, one every 30 minutes It'd be no problem, but if SC gets more commercials than actual game it's no point watching it.

Errr, what? I've never seen any tournament or stream run ads during games, thats just completely silly and counter-intuitive.

I used to have ad-block installed but I removed it. I honestly don't see what people's problem with 30/90 second ads is at all. I have a wonderful mixer function that lets me mute Chrome if I can't mute an ad on Twitch or Own3d. As for pop-ups/banner ads I guess my ability to focus on the content I really want to read/watch is greater than most :D. For a huge amount of online businesses, not just esports, advertising is often the only form of revenue or at least the most important, especially when it comes to sites that provide content and services for free.

I use addblock rather often because adds are usually annoying. I don't like being annoyed.

Though I dont remember addblock ever preventing any video commercials running: I still get them. Though that is certainly not a problem, usually they are not annoying compared to Asian dating sites and stuff. Hell, I even got Dr. Peper drinks from UK when someone I know was on the visit there... (not sold in my country)... because their adds really made me want to taste

Moral of the story is, make your adds cool and I will watch them and probably even buy something, make them annoying and I will block them without a second thought. I owe nothing to any of the adds companies, MLG, or so called "e-sports". If adblock is killing e-sports, well, too bad, I am so sad, but e-sports is not a religion to me. End of story.

P.S. What really is killing e-sports is constant whining about killing e-sports.
