EPTSince last I updated I have had a few games under my belt. A few in the practice league a few against a friend I have made via this fantastic website. And a few in the placement league. I will be talking about each in turn.
Practice league
Since my game three update I played three more games. I ended up losing two and wining one . Now after my 3 – 0 streak and my last update. I got a little cocky, so I decided to use a build order and strategy that I saw on Day 9.
The strategy game from a player named Grubby. What he did was, immediately expand with his first pylon to the natural expanse. From there he walled off and ensured a very early expanse. And then a push. This is where I lost my two games; I tried to imitate the build and got crushed. Why , you can’t really want to push on the floor when the map is aerial in nature as a practice league is. Well live and learn I suppose.
Trial by Fire
If I ever had a reason the practice hard and improve it’s to be able to stand up against my new friend and opponent. We played three games and I learnt a hell of a lot in those three games. I am very happy that there are high level players that help the newbies like me. You find on so many games online ext that there are more elitist jerks than nice people. The games themselves where short and brutal and I could tell that I was boring him a bit because I was really just a push over. But despite the lack of a challenge he gave me helpful advice all the way. Even when his Forces were swarming outside my base and BOB crapping his pants. He still had advice like, “Warp gate is late and your unit production is a bit low “ I would like to say thank you for the help and I look forward to someday soon kicking your Zerg butt :-D
Placement games
Now following some advice form comments and my new found friend. I moved on to placement matches. Now as it stands I am 2 – 2 at the moment with one game to go. For some reason my battle net lagged like a Boss on the last game and the other player overwhelmed me. But I promise to do a decent coverage of my last placement game regardless of win or loss.
For anyone that wants to play against me or with me. I am always open to makeing new friends and introducing you to BOB the hard way :-P
