The following will include my experiences, adventures, some of the things I ate and saw, and some of my closest friends there. NOT SC2. I already blogged all my SC2 stuff. ^^
Random beginnings Food/Seoul/Temple/Dorm life/Goyeonjeon + Show Spoiler +![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/6wCbm.jpg) All of this... for ~$5.50. God I miss cheap Korean food sooo much. That's ramyun, ddukbokki and kimbap. And yes, it was amazing. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/87xtm.jpg) Seoul @ Night. They had this pretty fountain thing that I could NOT take my eyes off of. Not sure which station this was by exactly... sorry. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/XiLfo.jpg) Blurry Seoul. Also near the fountain. They had all these pillars with different flags and the respective country's leader. I think it was for the G25 conference. Pretty neat stuff. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/DIv7v.jpg) Myungdong on a Sunday. AMAZING for shopping. Crazy crowds. Lots of people shouting in Japanese at you. Lots of Japanese tourists. Food places are crazy. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/YWVwy.jpg) One of the temples. Cool to walk around and look at history. ^^ ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/s9hXO.jpg) I miss chicken SO much. Nights in my dorm consisted of: soju, chicken, pepsi. Really intimate talks with my hyungs. I miss it so much. :[ I got used to eating copious amounts of green onions. ^^ ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/xGGyG.jpg) 인환형. Played him in BW for chicken. I went 0-5. LOL probably should've gone toss instead of zerg. He's just chilling on my laptop after good chicken nights. He says "WHAT THE" and "are you CRAZY?" also, "FUCKING!!!!" So funny. xD ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/Lz34L.jpg) Go-yeon-jeon. The famed rivalry. Biggest university rivalry in Korea. Yonsei vs Korea U. bo5, Baseball, hockey, soccer, basketball, rugby. Winner gets HUGE bragging rights. DAT CROWD. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/0IP9k.jpg) The cheerleaders <3 I fell in love with the one in the middle. She looks like IU. They dance. THE WHOLE TIME. We do too. And sing along. It's SO much fun. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/2ZLGp.jpg) After we won. I got chills for like 5 straight minutes. It was such an incredible experience.
Museum! Artifacts. And coffee. + Show Spoiler +![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/6Z4ES.jpg) RAWR ;] ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/lRjta.jpg) Such an intricate painting. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/Km8Ou.jpg) I love how clean and modern the inside of this museum looked... ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/Sk96h.jpg) The cafe... INSIDE the museum. Blew my mind. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/hMvcV.jpg) My prof said these are the Korean Crown Jewels... I think he exaggerated a little. Meet some of the other Americans in the background. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/GSpUE.jpg) HUGE pagoda thing. The number of levels was supposed to have some importance... but I forgot.
Namsan Tower Oh the view~ 휴~ + Show Spoiler +![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/q6jHN.jpg) I really like fountains. You pass this as you trek up after getting off the tram. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/8t9EV.jpg) The glorious tower. It's so pretty :3 ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/4jSN0.jpg) View from the tower. I really want to take a girl here... sometime... ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/OJaEQ.jpg) More views from the tower. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/v6PhT.jpg) An ad.. with some girls... :DD
DMZ... gasp Tanks, guns, barbed wire, pretty views. + Show Spoiler +![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/SpX2N.jpg) Some tanks on the rail before we left for Pyongyang... or near it. Don't mind my pose. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/kZ3kE.jpg) Because I'm a baller. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/M4s2F.jpg) Flags on fences. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/iDVBl.jpg) For some reason... I don't think they want me crossing the fence... ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/dVKSQ.jpg) I spy a Korean soldier. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/OXOkT.jpg) Hard to believe that over those mountains... is North Korea... ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/ax5cK.jpg) An odd structure near the DMZ viewing platform building.. thing. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/zq5r0.jpg) My friend Clint and I.. joining the South Korean army... The soldiers that were running this thing were so cool. ^^ We took pictures with them and they tried using English with us. This was one of the "booths" at the hongsam festival they had there... Our theory was that they would play really loud trot music to annoy the North Koreans just over the mountains. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
That's part 1. I'll do part 2. And maybe part 3? Sometime. Don't wanna have TOO much stuff in one blog. :D
Stay tuned~ 안뇽~

Nice pics~! totally nostlagic now I believe its called YeonGoJeon
When I did my study abroad, that was one of my favorite events. Especially the after drinking parties in sinchon - crashing each bar for drinks- and all the free food/free concert (wondergirls at the time performed at Yonsei). loved the cheering also, makes watching the games x10 funner.

I wished my university had a huge rivalry match against our local rivals or against the other top universities in Canada. Did you meet the middle cheerleader?
