The only really well-known guy they have left is Marineking. Everyone else that has competed at the Code S level seems to have left the team. I mean, come on, look at everyone who's left recently.
Polt (TSL) Check (eSahara) Maka (eSahara) Hongun (eSahara)
I believe that literally is all the Prime players that ever competed in Code S, or managed to stay in Code A for a long while.
Anyone have any idea why this might be? Is it their lack of sponsorship, and as a result, little to no salary outside of tournament winnings?

didn't Prime had the most qualified players out of all the teams last code A qualifiers? And they reached the GSTL finals last season. Doesn't look like dying to me.

Prime will be fine. They have Creator, Anneyong, Bumblebee, Core and BboongBboong who all qualified for Code A. Byun is also really good and probably Code S level, but is out due to the Coca scandal. Maka, HongUn and Check are good, but no better than any of their current new blood. Only player they probably miss is Polt who left due to a conflict with the coach and not due to money, etc.

According to your information Prime isn't dying so much as they're turning into a desert.

AnyPro, Creator, Maru and ByuN are all good.

They aren't dying, they are refreshing their places and making room for new stars, look at their players in code A and you'll see what I am talking about. I'm actually glad they get rid of their players living on old achievements like hong un and Check.
I wouldn't be surprised if they have at least three players in code S in about 6 months, excluding MKP.

Also honestly any team with MKP on it is a great team <3
I love watching that guy play. He exudes a manly aura that naturally draws those around him closer. It's like nothing else I've experienced. When you see him in person, you'll understand. When you watch him play, it's a religious experience. Salvation lies only in those dark, brooding eyes of MKP. In any interaction with him, you find you want to hear him speak, to watch him micro, to feel the strong sinewy muscles of his forearms macro.

It's amazing

They have 14 members, more than most teams, International or Korean.
And also, some of the biggest up and comers in the scene, creator, cOre, BBongBBong, and someone who I think will make a big splash soon, Byun.
Not to mention they already have Maru who has qualififed for Code A, Marineking, and players like Terious.

Prime just had a lot of their players qualifying for Code-A, I think they're all fine. On the contrary the situation of Zenex is rather worrying.

Zenex was in a much worse situation a few months ago, now they're not actually that bad. They have been doing pretty well in KSL, they qualified for NASTL, and they're playing in the next GSTL.
A few months ago it looked like they were completely dead, the situation is much better for them now.

oh well a good thing is that since it is dying, it can be officially sc2 history which is kind of cool
|
Prime is fine just their players are extremely underrated. BBongBBong especially no one knows about him but he's a beast
|
Prime is fine. Learn who they still have before posting things like this -.- SlayerS new members literally come out of nowhere and suddenly dominate people and get into code S. give Prime two seasons and we'll see the newer faces making names for themselves.
|
Annyeong or whatever is pretty beast, he took out really good players in wcg korea and in ksl. Also they just partnered with TT so we will actually be seeing more of prime players soon in international events.
|
Prime will be fine, mate. They have some great talents coming through, Byun (he needs to call himself Byun when he comes back and not fucking GhostKing, damn it) whenever he comes back from his suspension and MKP.
|
They have Byun. And Byun is Byun.

mkp is many things, but manly is not one of them. Id go so far as to call him one of the more effeminate pros, what with the hand-hearts, pink teddy bear photoshoots and constantly tight jeans.

prime does seem like one of the weakest teams to me
i think their biggest problem is that marineking appears to have no one good enough to practice TvT with, or possibly they are playing nothing but bio vs bio in house
marineking's TvZ and TvP are the stuff of nightmares, but until he can fix his TvT, I don't see him making deep runs in Code S anymore

Prime loses all the players that did well in the past... Prime is surely dying I mean except for Polt, dude never lost it but it seems like some Koreans that lose in the GSL and get fully knocked out think they can do well in foreigner tournaments so they seek out a foreigner team.

I don't see anything unmanly about hand-hearts, pink teddy bear photoshoots or tight jeans. In fact, tight jeans can show off your powerful calf and quadricep muscles to attract more hawt babes. Ok, maybe the pink teddy bear photoshoots aren't super manly, but they do demonstrate that he is comfortable with his concept of gender, and that is manly.
MKP is basically a baller.

Both Creator and Maru are both extremely young and have already played in code a before. I think they will be fine

Prime will be ok. However, I do think it's fair not to expect tooo much out of them in individual leagues atm. GSTL will be really interesting though.
|
I think what people don't get is that there are lots of up and comers int the korean scene and teams like Prime and Zenex have associated clans which they can draw players. TBH the members of prime that left for eSahara seemed to have fallen off a bit compared to all the new Prime members who qualified for Code A.
