EPTAs some of you may know, I've started running about 8 months or so ago, and have run 2 5ks this year, clocking in at 24:11(? I think) and 22:00(I know). Since my last run, I've gotten a bit more serious, and put some more miles and specific training in, trying to get better at running. My aunt, brother, and little sister already run and are very athletic, and they ran the Gator Bowl 5k last year, so this year I roped in my older younger sister who has just started running and off we went. The Gator Bowl 5k is a pretty decent sized run through downtown Jacksonville, over a couple of small bridges, and the last mile or so is a very picturesque road right on the edge of the St John's river. Generally about 1000-1500 people run in this race, this years numbers was something around the 1200 people range. It was beautiful morning, sunny, and about 65 degrees at 10 AM, with a little breeze. Perfect weather.

Me - 21:19 (7th in age group, 68th overall)
Brother - 21:14
Younger sister - 21:40 (10th overall female, first in age group)
Older sister 30: ?? (she's just started running, very out of shape lol)
Aunt - 22: ?? Can't remember exact time, low 22s, official site results page is down.
Fun times. Things I learned. When they say there will be no bridges....they just may be lying. There were two(many bridges/overpasses in downtown Jax). Get a GPS watch so you don't start picking up speed too soon at the end. Don't start so fast. Don't get tripped by a random 12 year old being retarded.
