A couple minutes ago, in vancouver, washington, the sky lit up blue at night. Like, the whole sky just lit up, went dark again, then 2 minutes later lit up again, just light everywhere, blue light. People are losing power to, the weather is fine, so what could have caused this??

Im just waiting for the tripods to pop out of the ground ._.

EDIT* the news channel just said 22,000 people just lost power WTFWTFWTWF

my sky is always lit up because i have a big store quite close whose parking space is lit up by taking big lights, turning them straight up towards the sky, and then putting mirrory things above them to reflect the light back down and spread it out. Obviously that's stupid, because half the light misses the mirrors and just lights up the sky. lol. It's like northern lights, just in the south and basically all the time except for when there's clear sky.

Maybe Vancouver forgot to pay its electricity bill and got hit by an EMP? Sounds sort of like it, a flash of light and then power outage? I really have nothing to say LOL

No, it was just a really quick flash of blue light, it wasn't a aurora. Luckily I didnt lose power lol, but everyone I know has.

It could have been just all the transformers in the city just blew up, causing the light show lol

I heard about something similar in Europe very recently. It was caused by pieces of a Russian rocket that had exploded in the sky, and were now melting when entering the atmosphere.
But I really doubt that caused any power outage, just freaked out people with weird ufo like lights.
