Hello TL,
So I am officially less than 30 posts from the big 1000. About time considering that I have been here for over a year. Stop laughing Torte (I know your reading this, since you read everything on TL).
Anyway the 1000th post blog is a bit of a tradition here, and who am I to snub tradition? But everyone always writes the same boring junk. "I love starcraft, I love this community, blah blah blah blah". I want to do something more interesting, but I can't decide what.
So I came up with what I think is a good idea. I want to let you all decide what I should do for my 1000th post. Reply with your ideas below, and after a page or two (depending on how many there are) I will add a poll and let the best idea win. I promise my post will contain exactly what the winning suggested stipulates, with a few restrictions below. If no one replies then I guess I will just write the same old boring junk (bleh).
Couple things: - First, the post will be a blog.
- Second, nothing that will get me permed.
- Nothing personal (no life story, no pictures of my family, etc)
- The idea doesn't have to be thorough, a general idea is sufficient. I can build from that. For example: post 1000 pictures of Rainbow Dash. (you can't use this idea
 )
- It does have to be reasonable though; no 1000 page essays, no calculus calculations. Funny ideas are the best.
So have at it! Or not, and have to suffer through a boring blog about my time on TL. No one wants that.

i think you should draw all the units from sc2 (or sc w/e u prefer) in ms paint.
or perhaps dig up every 100th post of yours and post them all in a blog and comment on how u have changed or how you feel about the posts now ect.

Make something nice and not too ambitious, unless you are 100% sure you can follow through with it and that it's unique!. Problem with ambitious stuff is that usually someone else had already done it and better than you my 3000th post was an AAR(after action report) in the first europa universalis 3 TL succession game, wish i would have put more effort into it retrospectively but it turned out alright.

i would say what makes players different. To be a bit more specific what their mindsets are and the way they practice also troubles/trials that some players go through.anything else is up to you

- guide for snowboarding
- guide for procrastination without consequences in college/HS (tips and tricks)

My idea is to figure out what hobby you love to do in real life and then post a guide/history/etc. on it.

With an ungodly amount of SNSD pictures. You know how TL loves them. (Or Nada/JD/Bisu/Flash/I could go on)
Alternatively, inspired by post above me inspired by repetitive over-saturated topics, you could write a blog post about the over saturation of 1k posts and and then criticise the next trend of writing blogs to ask about what to write about in 1k blogs.

Well my 1000th post was telling a guy he was posting in the wrong section. Fuck tradition ! Totally would have written something good if I had noticed my post count !

Anyway, maybe write about something extraordinary in your life? Problems you had to face, lessons you've learned?

Write about why people do special blog posts about their 1000th post. In all seriousness I must say the one good thing that comes out of it is a good blog sometimes though, but still a silly tradition anyways. I can understand if you have been at TL for a long time and you make a 5k/10k/any posts in between blog, but even then, why do you have to wait until said amount of posts to make a blog? i think it should be based of years imo.

Well its just a number. It's like those folks who get excited over 11-11-11. It only happens once every 100 years! As does every other day-month-year combo. It's silly. I mean, its not that I'm gonna get upset at you or something for it, but why not do like a 973d post retrospective? It's just as significant a number. That's the only reason I think it's silly, but if people have fun with it, who am I to tell them what to do, right?
