And it would be nice if you pull that picture down and use pictures of maybe Nestea and MVP... They would be considered best SC2 players but using image of God gamers and stating naniwa has the potential to be like them is a blasphemous comment. No one believes that and no sc2 progamer right now will even reach that level of play...
And whoever said SC2 has 8-10 years ahead of itself... Do you honestly believe that? I envy your optimism

bro, you picked the wrong thread for this. i am required by contract to object when a player that isn't even code s sc2 (lol) is compared to the bw s-class. simply duty. anyhow i didn't even remember making this post so whatever.

Also, bonjwa can't even be close to definable in SC2 yet. What it means to be a bonjwa would be the equivalent of winning almost every GSL Code S + MLG for an entire year.
Agreed. While I'm glad Nani is owning up to his mistakes and I think he's a great SC2 player, he isn't up to par with likes of real "B"s. Keep in mind JD and Bisu have godlike skills (and accolades) and they aren't even considered bonjwas. If those guys don't get the honor of that title, there's no way in hell Nani is even close to worthy.
Best of luck to Nani, I really hope he's changed...for his own sake and for the sake of the SC2 scene.

Also, SC2 Code S doesn't mean a player is "S-Class." It's simply a division; there is no S-Class in SC2.

It is strange that people can be offended by the mere comparison. (I can compare the mass of two mammals, like a Common Shrew, 5-12 grams to the Blue Whale which weighs up to around 200 tons, without offending any zoologists).
No one have said they are equal, right? If they have said that then I apologize for the analogy.
I wonder if this phenomenon can be found in any other society.
In cycling I think very few would be offended if someone speculates that an up-and-coming neo-pro cyclist could win Tour de France in 5-6 years, since it is next to impossible to win if you are younger than 23-24 year with an average of 29 years.
(Just for fun the rider who rode the most race kilometers in 2011, and that is excluding training, rode 16,450km in 104 race days).
So in conclusion: there are tons of fantastic sportsmen and I don't think people should be ashamed of innocently comparing them.
If they say something wrong it is much better to show them why and how.
Show them the grandeur of your favorite (cyber)athlete!
Saying "X has logged 10000 hours over 6 years and have these and these results while Starcraft II only has existed for a year and no SC2-pro is near the full potential yet" is much better "Incomparable! Blasphemy!"-approach.
