Now, I’m normally not one for huge, sweeping generalizations but that is what I will be doing today. This is not directed at anyone in particular, so if you write ladder blogs, don’t hate me too much. Odds are I haven’t read yours in particular anyway. But as anyone who reads the blog section of TL as much as myself will know, there is a major pandemic of these atrocities that one must sift through to find the high-points of the section. Undoubtedly, I will get some hate and oh-so-feared one star ratings, especially from the writers of said blogs and, as usual, people who look like this:
You read TL blogs and are shocked at the quality of the writing? That's precious.

While what you say is true you're just another elitist. If you want people to accept what you say as true you'd have to be fine with a Korean grandmaster making a mockery of your NA Masters play.

How did you manage to pick out that I'm a NA Masters player without reading the sentence that says it? I'm well aware that I'm bad at this game and certainly wouldn't mind some guy telling me that.
I get food capped all the time and botch the simplest of build orders every once in a while. Shit, I've forge expanded and blocked my bloody nexus with the forge ! But me also being bad doesn't make silver people any more or less bad, does it? Why can't I say it? You, your other friends in gold league, or the Korean grandmaster player are free to call me bad as much as you damn-well please and it will be true no matter who's mouth it comes out of.

I am genetically compelled to point out that the OP needs to add an apostrophe to the "its" at the end of his article.

First time I have given a 1 star in a while. Was hoping for it to not be another rant blog or ladder blog turns out it was a rant blog and not an interesting read at all.

Yup. Actions speak louder than words.

So it is better or worse
Ever since battlenet anything 2.0 I immediately assume is a downgrade

It's only been a day since this came out so we cant know whether the ladder bloggers have subsided (though I doubt they will). Still, if we do in fact see a decrease in ladder blogs, I'm gonna start wearing a cape while I browse TL. B)

huh, Captain Bibbit.
Pwning nooby ladder blogs! Cleanser of the blogs section. Defender of the...
Maybe Captain Sarcasm is better. Mmm I wonder what colour says "Make a crappy ladder blog and die"?

Meh, this post seems structured backwards. That is, stuff should have been presented in reverse order: "Bloggers, decide whether you want to write about your SC2 play for yourself or for others. If you're writing for your own benefit, have low expectations. If it's for others, offer what others want: great skills, good games, interesting situations, good writing, etc.."
Structuring it this way is a bit presumptuous, since many of the blogs probably really were started for the writer's own benefit, even if the writer doesn't realize it. So it just invites all the defensiveness and flaming (as the OP anticipates). A missed opportunity.
[edit] clarify/reword

I like everything about your blog except for the part where you single out the lower leagues. Honestly nobody gives a damn about master level players either, since compared to real pro's their games are still shit so i'd say unless you are grandmaster fighting with with the best you really need to add some gosu writing to make it bearable even if you are masters! edit:
Undoubtedly, I will get some hate and oh-so-feared one star ratings i am very tempted to treat this as a request for a one-star; TL mod style

Free protips, the world should thank you Sir Bibbit :D
Good job

Whaaaaat in the world is this...okay I'm gonna keep my mouth shut.

Great blog, blog section used to be really good, especially sifting through the crap to find a gem but it just got to tedious with the influx of these ladder blogs. Good expression of how I feel, thanks a bunch Bibbit.

God damn you, Bibbit! I've decided to not play till the next expansion was out, but this blog and the links in it, especially the Gheed story made me wanna dust off my account, download the crapload of SC2 of patches and play again. I maybe even get to *GASP* gold league this time! 5 stars for you, sir!

If you don’t write to make people want to read, you can’t complain when people don’t want to read. Simple as that really.
If you just want to make a diary to yourself about Starcraft II, accept that if you don't put effort into making it interesting/unique then you are just a spammer in the blog forum and will be treated as such.
