I was waiting to write this up because I wanted to see if Providence... I think the Pool play and the seeded players really kill the experience for me. Also I am big into the Foreigner scene and all my favorite players did amazing at Dallas 2010. The viewing experience only had 1 stream no Koreans and I think it was still with Benches for seating. Though Dallas 2010 is still my favorite MLG. Probably pure nostalgia at this point.

What about you guys whats your favorite MLG and why? What kind of formats are you looking forward to for next year??

Foreign players did excellent at Providence. Huge upsets and great storylines. Personally Anaheim was my favorite, though I've only watched MLG's online. The chanting at the end for MMA and him unable to speak was an amazing scene.

That is True... I mean the games are better, SC2 is much better now than it was 1 year ago... I just don't get the same feeling I did when I watched Dallas... I just hope I can get that feeling again. The old Format was so Brutal open bracket for every player.

the second event with idra winning was my favorite. It was the gracken coming from korea and was a huge deal that he was doing that. Was the first real sign of growth for me that sc2 had in NA.

Dallas is all nostalgia man, so many more MLGs have been better in my opinion. This one was the best game quality for sure though, will never forget it

My Providence experience was kinda "meh":

Day 1:
Top: Global Invitational Final --> Awesome (low downtime, fun games, cool players, great winner :D).
Flop: WTF was all that shit after? Just WTF... You got a torunament with some of the best players in the world and we see... Lennock smashing a Girl that seems to be diamond or something? ugh...

Day 2:
Couldn't watch much and when i found time i seemed to hit "downtimes" with extreme accuracy .

Day 3:
Same as Day2, but this time i could watch IPL4 qualifiers which were great. The only times i actually "hit" a game of MLG (Idra vs Puma) there was some nice game at IPL4 going on so I sticked with that...

I don't know if it's me, but MLG still has tons of downtime and i never seem to know when the next game is comming up? It's entirely possible that i just was unlucky but i "felt" like IPL4 showed more games (which can't be true?).

as I was cheering for Leenock from the final 8 onwards I was extremely happy with how Providence turned out. The DRG vs Leenock games were some of the most exciting I have watched for a long time just due to the fact that I wanted Leenock to come back sooooo badly. I'm not sure how I would rate it as a whole though but I was extremely happy with days 2/3

I still remember way back in the early days of mlg, when qxc and huk were considered rivals. They fought at like every mlg and the matches were all really close.

Providence was good, but the tournament format made for a lot of boring games. Sure Providence had just about all the best players in the world in one place, but I felt that this was sort of wasted by spending an entire day watching them steamroll dimond players. Hopefully MLG fixes this for next season.

I think so far Orlando was my favorite. Some of the best players in the world, exciting pool play, and the idrA/HuK domination!

I like the way the walls go out. Gives you an open feeling. Firefly's a good design. People don't appreciate the substance of things. Objects in space. People miss out on what's solid.
