Seeing things differently

I have always seen things differently than my peers. Ever since highschool I have liked chicks that my friends don't find attractive, or liked food combinations other people will find strange (peanut butter + yoghurt!). Interestingly enough, this 'seeing things differently' stuff did not make me very popular as I am also very outspoken, I used to often find myself in the situation where I am alone in an argument with 20 people.

This seems to have transferred to me in SC2. At time where people, especially zergs, were crying 'Terran is imba", I was on the opinion that while some Terran players are very good, Zerg and Toss are largely unexplored and played by generally weaker players. I could also never understand how can Idra and Kiwikaki be considered 'good' by the community and how can the community complain that Idra, for example, lost 3 in a row games vs MVP or some other good K Terran.

I never went into a big discussion about how I think Zerg and Toss players are generally less skilled, although I could argue that since Terran is big in Korea, it is largely played by the mass of pros, who collectively find strats, discuss build orders and bring the race to a new level, while zerg and toss who have less representation in Korea, would need more time to bring their skill and understanding of the game to the extent that the Terrans have. I also never argued about the patches that kept coming and coming and nerfing and nerfing and the fact that in EU and American scene there is not a single Terran but Thorzain who has won any major tournament. All US and American tournaments are won by players like Mana,Socke,Dimaga,Idra,Stephano, and the Zerg Morrow, and GSL was won 3 times by a Zerg. See the pattern here? No terrans.

Don't get me wrong. I believe Stephano and Morrow are great players. But where are their terran equivalents in Europe? Sureily if terran was so OP, more EU/American players would have won a tournament outside of Korea. I also keep wondering why tosses are so whiny about emp. I don't remember terrans whining about the khaidarian amulet, where two strategically warped in HTs could stop AN ARMY on a ramp. Also, people say emp has more range than feedback, and if the HT feedback you, you lack micro. I play a bit toss (masters on EU) and a lot of terran (used to be Masters, now Diamond) and I can tell you it is sure hell of a lot easier to feedback a ghost than to snipe the ht before he feedbacks you, cause for the time your ghost snipes the second time, ht will be in range of feedback. Emping the ht might be a waste of energy if he is outside of the cluimp, as he should be... In general, i feel like zergs and tosses are so easy to play with, so cost effective and I outright go in dismay to the people who say otherwise.

One other thing. People say mules give you an equal income to that of a zerg or a protoss player in order to compensate for the lower amount of workers you can produce. I have noticed that even with constant scv production, mule dropping and early expanding, a terran will ALWAYS be behind to a zerg or toss. ALWAYS. That generally means that a terran has to always make some damage to the economy of a zerg/toss in order to be on an equal footing. That forces the race to be agressive, and since terran's strength is strong defense, it seems to me that is something that the community does not recognize how OP zerg and toss are in that regard.

As far as battles go, storms, fungals, baneling mines make one mistake for terran cost it the game, while zerg/toss just a-moves and spams its castable skill (storm/fungal). Terran has to stutter marines, emp, focus shoot collosi with vikings and split vs collosi, while toss has to just make sure his zealots are in front and his hts are spread.

I also recently checked ladder situation on sc2ranks, and in EU there are like 40 GM terran out of the 200 GM. Same goes for the first 200 in masters, where toss is the dominating race, followed by zerg. Same goes for US. Only Korea has its sturdy godlike Terrans.

So, I guess I just had to say it. I believe the community is hugely mistaken and biased for its opinion for Terran, I believe zerg is SUPER OP and I hope one day everybody recognizes it.

Really? If any race makes 1 mistake it can cost them the game. If a Zerg runs into a Siege tank line its gg. Sure Terran has a lot to do in battle, So does every other race. I mean to break a tank line as Zerg (assuming Ling/Festor/Ultra) You have to split the Lings, send out IT in front to soak a few hits, fungal the Marines, NP the tanks, and flanking with more Lings doesn't hurt.

I don't get to watch GSL anymore but I think I heard its all Terran? Wasn't MLG won by a Terran the last 2 times? I'm not sure don't get to watch much anymore due to work. I feel this blog is just trollbait.

You really think... I've had this discussion so many times now that I can barely stand to write that; Zerg and Protoss also has a ton of shit to do in battles (Fungal, trying to get surround, micro banes, magic box mutas, transfuse BL's/ultras from a Z point of view atleast).

You're special ? Not a good idea to brag (yes, what you wrote will be taken as bragging) about being special on the internet, and you will recieve sarcasm/hate/trolling for it ^^

lol.

Yeah, you also have a higher IQ than Protoss and Zerg players and a bigger penis and can fly!

Sorry if that's over the line, but he did say "GSL was won 3 times by a Zerg. See the pattern here? No terrans." lol

"All US and American tournaments are won by players like Mana,Socke,Dimaga,Idra,Stephano,"

lol, one of those guys is American.

Bunch of haters in this thread.

OP, I personally bow down to your superior and unique way of seeing things. If I could, I'd take your foot and put it on my head while bowed like Friday did with Robinson Crusoe too.

Please show us the way to enlightenment with future essays prefaced by more proof of how special you are.

How can you argue against all the nerfs of terran in all the patches for the last 2 years?

Thinking back, GSL was actually won 4 times by a Zerg (Fruitdealer once and 3 times Mr. Tea), but what I actually meant to say is despite the large number of terrans in GSL, it was won too many times by a zerg and toss for me to accept it's OK.

Anywho, when I wrote what I wrote I knew already that TL is largely zerg population and I knew the hate and trolling I was going to receive. Of course, to the common TLer who has not played any race but his own, there might be some bias whether it is balanced or not. However, I have about 500 ladder games as toss and 1000 as terran and can clearly see toss is far easier to play than terran and far more powerful. Thus, I am wondering why the sad Zealot club even exists, while the sole reason for toss to lose is not imba but bad players. Comeon, HuK is your flagship player, you should expect no wins whatsoever vs player like MVP or MKP or MMA or Bomber. I feel the community will not rest whining until toss and zerg are so much artificially buffed so players like Idra and HuK can freely win against largely superior players like Bomber, TOP, MVP,MKP,MMA...

So, go ahead, community, whine more to blizz and reingeneer the game to such extent that Idra and Naniwa can be GSL champions.

could you please bring any arguments? you can talk all about how you *think* that idra for instance is not as good of a player as people make him out to be, but have you seen the thread on spending quotient, which _very_ precisely gives an indicator for how good a given player is, and idra is basically off the chart compared to all other players? That is a measurable fact in contrast to your seemingly baseless opinion, which pretty much makes you look like you are just a random hater, trying to troll for a flame war. (which is btw only strenghened through generalizations "I knew already that TL is largely zerg population", which you can't deny will give readers the impression of "you are all whiny zerg kids and i don't really care about your opinion, i just wanted to rub you mine into the face").

So please try to provoke less and bring more arguments, that would be appreciated.
