 Hi guys, My friend Evan has decided he wants to give up Wow. He asked me to suggest a few games. Of course i suggested Sc2. I said that it was awesome ad kinda like AOE (Which he played) but he wasn't convinced..  So i was wondering, any other ways i could convince him to join the awesome side? Thanks for the help -Kova  | ||

I mean, not everybody loves every sport, i don't care much for nascar, but that doesn't mean that there isn't a TON of drama and excitement and stuff that people who like it can enjoy. I mean, don't try to shove it down their throats, or you'll become "that friend" who's obsessed about a single video game, and they'll just stop hanging around you | ||

we can always correct him, give him simple ideas/tips, and maybe even encourage him. one of the good attitudes to go about competitive games is to be enthusiastic, and sometimes that comes from the drive of having someone you constantly need to compete against---someone you know. that's all hypothetical though.... but yeah, i'd ask him his take on the game, not that it's a girl blog or a discussion of personal issues, but it's a huge game to be able to learn// and continue to learn from over years and years of practice. if he wants to be semi-casual he can, but that's in form of few melee games and more custom. otherwise, even team-matches might be frustrating to the newer players. to stress my point, getting a friend into a game that he's not really convinced about can be a sensitive thing. it doesn't hurt though to show him the popularity, and hurrah of the fans who post hundreds of topics here each day. that will show him that the game has atleast the magnitude of popularity that WoW has despite it being over game sessions/individual games of 1v1, over having an entirely persistent/open world. if you don't know about the SC scene though, i don't really know what to think. again, it's if you're interested in the first place or not.if he really does want to stop WoW, sc is definitely a game that can hold as much interest in comparison. | ||

Now he's trying to get me into LoL -_-' Noooope But anyway, it depends what kind of guy your friend is. If he's competitive and can stand the toughness of SC2 (you get into the game, you lose 5 games, get labelled as a complete newbie and then have to work your way up the intimidating ladder system) then he'll love it. If he gets stressed easily and gives up easily it might not go over so well. It's up to you. | ||
