As you guys know, MBCplus plans to axe MBCGame channel at the end of the year next year [in an interview, the Kespa chairman said that the channel will be maintained until March 2012]. They are pulling out of esports altogether, in order to focus on setting up their own kpop channel. As a result, both the MBCGame HERO (SC) and MBCGame HERO+ (SF) teams have been disbanded.
However, yesterday, DailyEsports revealed that the SF team has reportedly found a new sponsor and they are making preparations for the founding of the new team. This is indeed good news, especially since the current line-up HERO plus consists of former Estro SF players.
Im Sura, playing-coach of the SF team, posted a message on HERO Gallery (dcinside) saying she had no idea they had found a sponsor until she read the DES article. o.o
I really hope the HERO SC team has found a new sponsor too! 화이팅! A bank sponsor would be nice.
Hopefully this is good news for the SC team. As infinity said, SC is more popular than SF isn't it? I can't imagine it would be much of a stretch for them to find someone too.
Omg that sea picture so good At least one team is saved... makes this demise of MBC feel a bit better, but the burning question still remains... where is our qtpatootie going to go??

Yup, SC is a lot bigger but an SF team is much cheaper to maintain. Although the MBC SF team this season did achieve a whopping 28.6% winrate. The previous MBC SF team did much better in PL but for some reason MBC execs decided to replace the entire team with ex-Estro players for the 2010-2011 season.

Haha yeah, I love that pic too Sea has been tweeting cryptic messages lately. I don't know if it has anything to do with sponsors though.
