I don't know if I'm the only one who has this problem, but I'm young. And by young I mean 14. Anyways, I seem to have this issue, where I am at school, or basically just with people, and I just do weird spastic stuff. I know inside my head, that other people are viewing this as odd, but I seriously can't help it. I'll make weird noises, and weird faces, and can't control myself at all. I also have insane anxiety problems, not sure if this is related. If more explanation is needed, will provide. But if other people are having this issue, please share how you got over it. This is leading to me getting beaten up and made fun of about it.

Well, it seems to only happen when I'm in groups of people. When I'm at home, or at 1 person's house, I perfectly fine. It's when the groups of people become 5+ people, I just act out.

You might be developing a neurological disorder. Just go to a doctor and let him know.

The weird noises and facial expressions sound like the tics associated with Tourette's Syndrome. While they would probably exist all the time (even at home), they tend to be worse when you're under stress (possibly from being around your friends).

Okay. The odd part is, it's not like a twitch, it's like, I just see an opportunity to be weird, and take it. Conscious that this may cause some bad results, I take it anyways. It's not really that I CAN'T stop, it's that I won't stop. I really just don't get it. Thanks though guys. I will definitely talk to a doctor about it.

Don't listen to every single post above me that says "OMG YOU'RE 14 AND ACTING WEIRD?! PREPOSTEROUS, SEEK HELP FROM A PROFESSIONAL/THERAPIST IMMEDIATELY!"

Try adding a hint of cleverness or comedy to your "weirdness" or better yet just hang out with people that don't think you're weird. There's someone out there that will think your outbursts are charming, and that will help you feel more secure about your actions.

^^Very helpful. The worst part of it is I am on the gifted team, and have the tested IQ of above everyone in my class, but everyone views me as fucking stupid. I can't stand how ignorant they are in every statement they make (lol) but still, it sucks to be the "that kid" of the class.

It just sounds like you just want some decent positive attention and your fuckwit classmates are difficult for you to empathize with. This community is a great outlet for that sort of thing. Hope to see you around the forums, or maybe on IRC.

I was the same way. Random outbursts of whatever the crap was on my mind. Don't worry about it. Make it funny if you can. Be spastic. Be spontaneous. Be yourself. I've made friends because of acting like this, and I'd never change it.

I was super awkward for a a long time because I didn't know what I was doing or why, and I'd be confused and everybody would wonder why I was so spastic. I kept doing it, and after a while I just thought I was super nerdy and weird. Then it got to a point where I'd say words, and sometimes they were funny. It made people laugh. It gave me confidence. It's still something I'm proud of.

Be confident about it. It can be a good thing in your future.

Well it's not like the girl in the sense that I don't have uncontrollable movements and such, it's that I just can't help myself from taking the opportunity of being weird. And I can't relate to anyone in my class, seeing as the girls like the football players and I'm not one, and I can't with the guys because everyone is an athlete, where I could care less about sports. Feelsbadman.

Have you ever seen Roger Federer, or Rafael Nadal?

They're in their early 20s.

If you don't start playing sports and working out, you'll never be able to compete with the jocks who did in their highschool years by the time you reach that age.

This is one of my biggest life regrets.

Trust me, when you're in your late teens or 20s, if you're not already, your balls will be busting with hormones dying to be released like a Kame Hame Ha into a woman's anus, mouth, or vagina.

You can't relate to them? It's not "who you are"? You want to be "true to yourself and what your hobbies are"? Fuck that shit man. At the end of the day we are here on planet earth to achieve one goal - so suck it up and start playing sports. You don't have to care about sports - but you have to care about your penis. If you don't make yourself an alpha male who gets all the hot babes by the time your 20 your virgin ass will hate your teenage self for it. It's the kind of shit that drives young men to suicide.
