Site remained pretty much same in design since it opened until late 2008 when it got new front page.
The reason some of these screenshots are messed up is because they were taken from web.archive.org and for some reason web archive didn't save sidebar content from 2002/2003, and it's also portraying year 2008 and 2009 without css (visual design).

Actually, the community effect is more apparent in smaller groups.

Now I figured out what was so weird about pre-2006... the sidebar banners were written in a weird font.
(also ?? at the confusing lack of css in the 2008-2009 ones...  )

2008-2009 didn't display entirely correctly. At least you can see the manifesto banner and everything else though.
