One of the worst nights ever.
I'm going to do what I should have been doing. Get myself a nice hot chocolate, curl up in bed with the laptop and watch the OSL Grand Final VODs whenever moktira works his magic.
Next time I know where my priorities lie, with you guys. Thank you for sharing something I really enjoy and doesn't make me feel like shit (except when Flash wins ). It's very easy to get excited about BW with all the hype you guys generate. I hope we are all here for a long time.
Here's hoping the matches were awesome cos I really need some epic storms, mines, recalls and emps right about now.
EDIT: So I was deciding between watching OSL final and going to this girl's place. We had hooked up repeatedly during the week and it was awesome, spent most of the week with her, either at the beach, out clubbing or in bed. Things didn't go very well this time. Long story short she wasn't there when I went to go over, wouldnt pick up her phone. Ended up going out for a 21st, she was there, wouldnt speak to me, wouldnt make eye contact, went home with one of my mates.
She fucks off back to England in 3 days anyway so I shouldn't give a shit but we had heaps of fun together and I was starting to really like her.

Maybe she was scared about the thought of having to have a long distance relationship and wanted to try and cut it off before she left in an idiotic and nonsensical way that a lot of girls seem to do in situations where they aren't sure how to resolve them

Red flags were there I just choose to ignore them because I had the imagination of "Love conquers all!" It doesn't conquer crazy. Also it's better that you at least tried rather than thinking she was the one who got away.
I am sure if you sit down and think about it for a while you'll start to find red flags about her at this point, which you don't even have to do since you know she slept with other guys while giving a picture of being in a somewhat relationship with her.

I never really believed when people say stuff like actually choosing starcraft over something they appreciate a lot in real life, it just seemed like trying to sound 'unique' or whatever.
I would never, ever decline an opportunity for solid, real life enjoyment to watch starcraft. I was under the impression that that's the case with pretty much anyone here, but turns out some of you guys really are 'hardcore'.

Sorry man. as soon as the series ended i brought this up in the channel. The whole concept of "RL over internet" made sense when you chat about it in IRC. But at some point, I think we need to accept the big role that BW can play in our lives. Is it ok to stay up to watch the finals even if you have an exam the next day? I think it is. Drink some energy drinks or take a nap and just get it done. If i had it over again, not even knowing how well it went with the girl I would've told you to stay. This final meant too much on paper to flake out for sex with someone you're not going to see again.
If you were legitimately in a relationship, then she should've been on board with watching it with you. Anyways, bad luck man, if u wanna go watch it now before the vods go to xsebt's channel, he has the full vod (mine is a bit cut up and has some lag in it) and just watch it and hopefully its as cool as it was for us live

Kiante you are right. This a social thing not just gaming. I cheer far more enthusiastically for BW than for my AFL team or for Australia in the cricket, its become a passion. It's great to have a mob of people from all parts of the world I can share this with!

Haha, shit son that sucks. I literally had the EXACT same thing happen to me, though a slightly milder /shorter version I Guess. I was staying at a hostel, and I met this really cute\nice\awesome\ whatever english girl, And we basically hung out all day the first day getting slightly more friendly, second day we went into kissing and what not, 3rd day was like a party and we ended up having sex, and then lying in bed talking all night, and the weird part was that as we were in bed talking she focused\ said a lot of things like she couldnt understand why someone like me would like her and how she was really afraid that after tomorrow I would just not like her anymore or something. Anyway so we fell asleep, woke up next morning and talked\cuddled some in bed and everything seemed completely fine, and then, the second that she went out of the bed, it was suddenly like I had killed and raped her entire family or some shit.
We were both staying at the same hostel for like 4-5 more days i think, and also traveled home together. She would NEVER, not ever, speak a word to me, and every time i tried to talk to her she would just straight up ignore me, or snap back something reasonably rude (not like very bad, but just you could really tell she didn't like me for some reason.) It was all really weird, but you just gotta take the good with the bad I Guess. Only annoying part is that I Spent the first 2 days after, sort of leaving her be but thinking she would come around, and just having a bad day or two or whatever. Then she started hooking up with some other guy(s?) and i was like fuck this shit and let her run her own course. I have her as a friend on facebook though, and I am really curious about what happened, but have not asked her yet since I Doubt I would ever get a worthwhile response =p
Anyway you just got to take the good with the bad, if she pulls some shit like this on you, you obviously do not want to be with her as she probably has some messed up shit where she enjoys toying with peoples emotions or something, so consider yourself glad that you found out about this as soon as you did and move on to greener pastures. I am sure in the long run it will be her loss either way ^_^
