This.....game....makes......me..... look...... like ........ a.......coward. And it should for you as well. I have played a lot of games, but no game has scared me to the point of needing breaks when I play it. I am still trying to beat this game as we speak.I mean I tried playing with a buddy, as shown in the first 2 videos, I tried playing drunk, I even tried playing with a bunch of stream viewers on skype call, and I still can't handle how well the scary environment was stitched together. I mean this game is ACTUALLY scary.
I find that most horror survival games lose their fear factor once you get used to dying. Since you lose all the penalty for failure, but this game, it gives you so few opportunities for death that you do your best to not die no matter what, and actually feel a little ill if you are about to die. Much like how StarCraft still give your an adrenaline rush when your pushing for victory or just barely hold off your opponents push. Game thats physically effect you are the games I will always put at the top of my list.

Love how this game makes everyone of us look like sissy's, very few can do that to people who grow up on shit like this. That storyline is so sexy though I hope someone makes a full book on it some day with the help of Frictional games. Like andycz said play Penumbra series as well, I haven't yet though but did watch the Let's Plays on them on YouTube, there scary as well.
Me and my buddies played this at midnight over at my friend's house with his flat screen TV connected to a laptop. We took turns with a wireless keyboard, all i can say is that it was both hilarious and terrifying.
Yeah I think I will eventually beat the game, hopefully... if I didn't like watching myself scared afterwards, i would just turn on all the lights and change the gamma, but i think i secretly like getting scared... >.>
My roommate played this game and hated it, he doesn't really get scared from those things too, I even tried sneaking up behind him when the lights wereo ut in his room while he was playing and nothing worked.

Seriously though he ran through the game in like two sittings and never got scared once, he sooner ran into the crazy shits going after him than would cower in a corner in fear.
It's really not that scary though, just makes me run away from my computer.... luckily I don't play on my laptop otherwise.... I probably would be buying a new one...

I get unreasonably freaked out about things being under my bed sometimes after watching something scary I did watch the videos and survived, so all is good ^_^ If I played it, it sure as hell wouldn't be in the dark! lol
I bought Amnesia a little while ago and finally got to playing it last week. I lasted through the first 2 areas while my sister watched then i turned it off fearing a monster encounter, the game is ridiculously scary but huge props to those who made it. Can't be easy making such a masterpiece

Yea, you definitely need a group of people for moral support. I don't think it's healthy to play that game alone at night... you might actually go crazy haha
