It would be nice if the Proleague teams had more stores for international fans to buy gear from. I would have loved to buy a WeMade Fox Jacket. The revenue could help fund the team(do what football/soccer teams do and change the kit every year).

NO not Jaedong to KHAN pls. If I could pick a team where Jaedong should go (regardless of all contract/salary issues, just to imagine), I'd pick STX, because it wouldn't kill the balance in the proscene. Plus STX is losing Kal, I'm almost sure he gets signed into ACE. User was warned for this post Jesus Christ. This thread is definitively about Brood War. It's got nothing to do with SC2. So his comment makes sense here. Your comment was a crazy rant to someone who posted on topic. Do not post these little shots about moderators in passing. If you want to contest your warning, PM me directly instead of twisting the reason for your warning.

I really like the idea of JD in Khan since I'm a huge fan of both Khan and JD, and it would make things really interesting in the top with KT, SKT CJ (Effort ftw) and Samsung duking it out. But more than that I like the idea of a new team forming with the players from Fox, Oz and MBC. That would be one hell of a team. Hope they can find a sponsor for that! ^__^

A bad scenario I can see is them them being formed into one new team with all the slack being dropped. The very worst case would be them all disbanding and Jaedong being picked up by another team. yeah apparently if they don't find sponsors for all three teams they are going to create a "dream team" off them and sell them as one team with like the top players, vets(so anytime and midas stay) and a couple of rookies while the rest get drafted or something.

BW is way bigger in pc bangs and grassroot internet streamers(afreeca, potplayer etc), gets much more people on live events(even stx masters, a mid range event had massive crowd), has more comments & netizen attention. Hell its leading in every front. Meanwhile SC2? Largely blizz sponsored, depending on their capital injections & foreigner interest to keep GSL running. Gotta admit dude, you are flat out wrong, in Korea BW has significantly stronger fundamentals. You just ignored the guy's main point... Why would LG, which is a international company, want to sponsor a korean team where the company's name will only get exposure to Koreans? ( and the small amount of foreigners who watch BW these days ) If LG sponsored say EG the name would get exposure to the whole western world, rather than 1 country.

I find it very hard to stay positive at the moment. 2 teams died after last season, 3 teams dying now, and fewer new players in the draft than ever before. Plus the fact that MBC Game is dying as well. Despite being a hardcore atheist I will pray for my precious BW. Fewer new players in the draft but the Mystarleague and Rookie League numbers have been very good. Draft numbers are low because of the all the pessimism. And low draft numbers in turn generate even more pessimism. Teams also need to be more efficiently managed, unlike Wemade Fox. I hope this is a wake-up call for the other teams. What would also be good is more competitions for amateurs and semi-pros. Competitions like Mystarleague and RL keep the interest alive amongst aspiring pros. Regarding MBCGame... There are other, non-BW related factors behind their closing. Some of that is company politics. This is a real test for BW but if it can survive this, there will be many many more years of pro-BW to come.

I am using wiki (lol) to back up what I'm going to say - but the same reason Samsung has a proteam? Samsung is a huge international company as well, and they've got a team. "LG Corp. (Korean: LG 법인) is the second-largest South Korean conglomerate company following Samsung, and it is headquartered in the LG Twin Towers in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul." It's not like LG wouldn't benefit from having a team as well, to rival Samsung.

If we do get a merger of the three disbanding teams, I'm sure they'll get a sponsor with their solid roster. There's potential for a lot of star power, excluding Jaedong since he's already the driving force. And a team like that could easily contend for the championship every season. Also, OGN will be the single channel airing these games, so we should get quality matches every week. In turn, this increased competition among Proleague will surely stimulate excitement. Hopefully it would bring in more and more aspiring rookies that could one day become the next Flash, Bisu, Jaedong, etc. Maybe there might never be any more expansions to the 8 teams, but with a revival of rookies, the teams could last a lot longer and provide more competition in the long run so that there wouldn't be any more disbandings in the future. /optimism

With a net-income of 5.8 billion USD last year, sponsoring an e-sports team is pocket change for you. But perhaps more importantly, since your major competitors within South Korea (Samsung, SK Telecom, Korea Telecom) all have teams, I think you should, as well. At a time like this, by investing in e-sports will certainly improve your corporate image and boost sales. Wait, you are still not convinced? OK look. Just get OZ, and I will get the LG Thrill 4G from AT&T... I promise >__< Maybe I am not a first, but will LG read this post? As for OZ/MBC/Fox - for me it is enough, if kespa will create a dream team with best players of OZ/MBC/Fox, for example jae, killer, hiya, anytime, baby, mind, shine, jaehoon, sea. As you know, CJ team is not bad, and now it contains from players of hite, estro and old CJ. P.S. Yes - I am OZ fan, and 70% of my BW movie is about OZ. P.S.2. Maybe we need to show my "bw forever" movie to kespa and LG, and they will close all BW proscene forever? Just kidding

BTW to sc2 forum people: BW is still dominating Korea, and with a reason. It's strategy level is high above what we currently have in sc2. It is the solid concept our new game is built upon and the peak we hope to reach some day. to bw forum people: I am still watching BW every day and love the game that I grew up with, but I cannot understand the recent tone of the bw forum. What is up with the 'hipster nerd' syndrome? You sound like these old people who don't accept the use of computers, smartphones and ..all new technology. The game is still named StarCraft , despite units and mechanics the basics of economy are the same and that drives strategy.
