The OP main idea seems to be that you shouldn't use gender stereotypes to evaluate individuals, and this I can agree with.

Remember too that truly competent individuals all have better jobs anyways, so they wouldn't be applying to work in a retail store in the first place. You're going to get idiots no matter what gender you're looking for. Also, if you want to know about a sexist job, look no further than bartending at a nightclub. Obviously it makes sense to have a couple hot male bartenders for the ladies present, but the majority are going to be females. At the nightclub where I worked, the first bartender you saw when you walked in was this hot, large-breasted blonde named Andrea, who very well knew how to show off her assets. She made $1500 in tips every night. | ||

Let me show you via a baller-esque demonstration: *insert graph here* Above in this non-existant graph I almost made up, you can see the percentage of good male clerks compared to good female clerks. These results come from a poll done where we went up to male clerks and asked them "are you more competent than a female clerk". We then went up to female clerks and asked them "do you feel that perhaps your non-degree of competence is lesser than the quantitatively more lack in non-competence of your male counterparts"? The latter question was asked by our poll-makers, while drunk and eating mashmallows. This flawless logic is an undeniable demonstration that male clerks are indeed more competent than female clerks. Or does it have something to do with chest hair? | ||

Seriously, go look at a bunch of men's magazines and then look at some women's magazines... In both of them you will see at least 90% of the ads feature women. There is a reason for that. | ||
