Doesn't sound very different to what I've heard them say. It differs greatly when you say it slowly, but you don't normally do that.

Yes, but those are made up words. This is a proper word with a "proper" pronunciation. I think what the OP is trying to say is the word is pronounced with two syllables, not three. It's easy to have a small third syllable sneak in between no and bless.

On the other hand, as mispronunciations by commentators go, I can't help but think this one is tiny. If you want to stop commentators from adding additional syllables in, get him to stop pronouncing "lair" as "lai-yer" :p

Just to add, insisting on the original French pronunciation is stupid. There are tons of French words in English, but we use the received English pronunciation for them. So rather than linking to the French pronunciation, click on the little speaker here to get an English pronunciation.

not really, nony is a word people use to ridicule (kinda like the childish sing songy way of nony nony nony, or nah na nah na nah na) or in the case of my mother to my sister, she always called her nony as in a naughty girl. and idra is actually a shortened version of the word idrajit which is some indian demon.

Neither of which have received English pronunciations, so the point stands.

Isn't "no-bul-less" essentially "no-bless" slowed down >____>;;;

In my opinion geas pronounced "ghess" is more confusing than this. But I took French so I guess I'm more used to this shit.

I just think, well, how does the player want it pronounced? He has the right to spell and pronounce his handle anyway he wants.

I heard him say in an interview (that at the moment i cant be bothered to find, but i may include it later if i decide to edit this post) that the spelling of his name is actually an accident. he meant to write Indra, but forgot to press the N button, then he was stuck with it.im assuming he didn't change it later because he was becoming known as idra

When I've heard people say noblesse I have heard Noble-esse. I figure that you should say it however the person with the name wants it to be said, so if (Chae Doh Joon) want's it to be said one way or the other say it that way.
The only exceptions that I hold to is if someone changes their name to something ridiculous for example, Chad Ochocinco (NFL) or an sc2 Example, Gentlemen AKA Puma.
In those cases i ignore the name given and use the one I associate to the player in question.
Is Idra the T.O of starcraft?

Given the poor track record of Asian pronunciation of (especially weird) English, I wonder if Noblesse himself knows how to pronounce Noblesse as no-bless.

Disclaimer: I'm Asian, so I can make fun of Asians.
