easiest to learn at lower levels swarm experience will come in handy for PvZ timings and knowing what to expect Cons: How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop? TL;DR: no reason you can't play both. Just go with what you enjoy, or what you're in the mood for. | ||

But I tend to become fans of protoss players when I watch them, and they don't suit that description. Anyways, My left fingers starting to hurt, so I'm gonna take this blog to a close and I'll see what you guys think (although writing this thread actually help made my mind up, and favour the other way... to toss!) TL;DR Pros-toss (pun :3) My favorite players play toss I seem more attracted to the playstyle Snow Making koreans rage at the 1a2a3a! Easier to pick up (no rage, plz -_-) Fun Spells! stormuuuuuu Cons: Haven't played before rage (as a con this time )Pointless experience as zerg, I guess. no swarm Zerg Pros: Macro style, which I'm good at Easy to be aggressive while expanding, which I love so many units. Cons: Hard to manage and read the opponent. Lots of zerg snipers/specialists (not balance whine, i hope this doesnt imply) I can't think of any others.... even shorter TL;DR Poll: Protoss or Zerg? More of a fun update/discussion, I guess :D Well let's see first you say protoss is easier to pick up yes i agree with you but making koreans rage with 1a2a3a is not really a good idea because it usually is the opposite koreans will make you rage when they 1a2a3a4a5a to victory keep that in mind and fun spells like storm if you have the apm to storm and micro your units . Nonetheless if you decided to play protoss we can't stop you over all . Your opinion that zerg is a macro type of race is not true see in order for zerg to macro it has to micro keeping the enemy at bay taking base than out flanking the enemies troop . I don't see anything sit back and relax macro 1a2a3a to victory when in terms of playing zerg ;D.I do realized that you are more favored towards protoss because of the pro and not in favour with zerg because you don't have any heroes to say so but if you realized that each of the race in broodwar has it's own specialty and traits protoss has easier macro ability supply warps it selfs . Zerg has really good magic plague and dark swarm and lurkers . Terran has siege tank , vultures and marine and medic . Over all they are quite special in a sense how ever you should give terran a try ;D why not . | ||

What is it about snow that you really like? He's my favourite player too and he's always seemed really aggressive and his play is centred around out multitasking his opponents with drops everywhere (e.g. those games vs Jaedong in the last MSL). As people said, it's an easier race to play on the lower levels, but once you get good and move on to good players, protoss is a hard race to master. | ||

Playing protoss bumped my rank up by 1 this season after years of terran, so if you want to be a cheesy protoss you'll soon see a higher rank in your future play protoss if you enjoy pvp. | ||

But here is the deal: I started BW as a Protoss player. Kal and Bisu were my favorite players and I liked the beast macro style of BeSt and Shuttle too. But then, I met the wonderful swarm and their representatives. I met the aggressive style of Jaedong, July, Yellow; the defensive management style of sAviOr, ZerO, EffOrt, GoRush. Then decided to switch to zerg. Long story short, I still play Zerg. And I'm so happy that I switched. Protoss just isn't for me. Maybe Zerg just isn't for you either. Give those bros a chance too. | ||
