the pix dont show it very well. its finely carved out of wood and looks firey and mischievous it might be some buddha type thing the image is a like a bearded chinese -ish head in a robe, between his arms is an antlered deer sucking on a branch, and a little bald man/monk/goblin, i think hes holding a crown or a nut in the middle . to the northeast, above the little man, lies a bat ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/JYgdA.jpg)   | ||

i think he must be: These twin laughing immortals are known as the Gods of Peace and Harmony, the Gods of Unity and Harmony, Hehe erxian (和合二仙), the Laughing Twins and the Gods of Mirth. One twin is named Shi De (拾得) who usually holds a lotus. The other twin is Han Shan (寒山) who may hold a round box, ruyi sceptre, gourd, coin, persimmon, etc. They represent harmony and mirth and bestow blessings on marriages. that would explain the plant he is holding and the deer is eating | ||

It's a symbol of luck/happiness because everyone wants a male son. The deer symbolizes "wealth" because they sound the same. The peach symbolizes longevity because, in the legends, there is a type of sacred peach that grants additional years of life. So you have Fu-Lu-Shou all in one amulet. This amulet could also be Japanese, "Fukurojuku" is the name. And yes, I'm fucking awesome, now go lift some iron. | ||
