It's kind of a successful troll post in the same way that making a blog post about how your father died of colon cancer yesterday and then on page 6 saying "lol trolled you all!" is a good troll post. A good troll post makes people believe something that, when looking back afterwards, they realize they were dumb to believe at all (e.g. "Texas to ban seatbelts as they interfere with personal liberty"). If it's believable and people believe it, that's just lying, not good trolling. And mods banning people over petty things on TL is entirely believable. | ||

It's more like making a thread about how your father died of colon cancer and 6 page later say that he actually died of a heart attack. Except this happens all on page 1 and people realize it 6 page later. | ||
