GSTL SPOILERS!

oh em fucking ge!

I got to work early this morning after taking the bus to town.
Oh look GSTL is still on.
Wooo oGs vs Prime thats a good matchup.
And look at that Nada is out not so bad getting to work early.
Nada wins 2-2.
Hey look huk is on the bench!
I am a HUGE HuK fan.
The day liquid hired him I shit everywhere from excitement it was messy.
Since then I've never wavered in my faith.
Nada loses to check 3-2
Who they gonna send?
Who do they think can win 2-0 vs Check and either MKP or Polt(iumus)

MOTHER FUCKING HUK!

looked like this but picture is not from today

vs Check

Huk forge ffe with a nice little sexy block early with an extra gateway that he cancels when his cannon is done.
Goes up to 6 gates we think an attack is coming.
But what wolf didn't notice was the early 4 gases.
Hes also getting a citadel/+1/halucination and making his patented sextastic pylon path to the third.
Tonnes of lings constantly bugging huk but he takes his third techs to storm and looks to move out.
Lots of back and forth with awesome storms.
Lings get in the main and snipe the nexus huk takes another base.
Back and forth not looking good untill...

huk sends a troop of a few dozen zealots to snipe a base all alone on one side of the map.
check responds by sending everything over to stop it.
huk has already sent stalker sentry archon into the third of check.
the zealots do pretty dece vs the mass lings and check has no answer to huks other army as it storms through the nat and into the main.
eventually gets cleaned up but from there its an easy ride for huk to just stay ahead and eventually wins!

they send out... the king of marines

vs MKP

huk jokes in the lobby that MKP is going to 3rax allin him.
he was right.
and huk 1 gate expos
i was in tears.
but wait...

oh my...

HE HOLDS!!!!!!!!!!!!
when 2 of the players with top 3 control have a micro battle who wins.
HuK 100% of the time!
my man!
my brotoss!
my fellow canadian!
if i was there my bear hug would have been bigger than MCs
the rest of the game is irrelevant but basically colosus > marines and huks control is sexy.
also he dances zealots in the mineral line. like a total fucking boss.

This antihurt ESPORTS so hard your grandma just bought a gstl season pass.
And she is inviting her friends over to watch jupiter from now on.

Huk... <3 you made sc2 foreigner history today.

*choke* i love you too man

I cant believe we are still talking about this.
you say match im going to say series from now on.
Like a series of games like bo7 u know?

HuK won the series for oGs the first foreigner to win a series for a team in GSTL.

Both sheth and qxc have won games. but FXO has not won a series.
Thats not the point!
HuK played for oGs and won two games should be a hurrah moment enough why r u so grumpy

Gotta agree.

i've said this plenty of times, but this is good for HuK. I bet he will get more playtime now. Though, i still have to blame Prime's decision about sending MKP instead of Polt. I'm quite sure that the game would've been different if you take a look at Polt's TvP winning %, which is almost 80%.

Great job HuK eitherway. One of my favorite and one of the best, if not the best foreign SC2 player rigtht now!

I agree too i was sure they were going to send optimus and i was really worried for huk.
polt beat huk a few times no?
I think in general optimus' tvp is insanely good.
i wonder what prime was thinking.

Yes, polt has won HuK twice. And not to forget MC 4 times.

http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/sc2-korean/players/1856_Polt/games/vs/P

Whereas MKP has 60% winrate against Protoss.

Huge HuK fan myself, love his work ethic and his attitude towards the game. Because of that I know he'll only get better over time, especially as he completely overcomes his nerves with important matches.

It could have just as easily been a blog about how HuK lost.. title is fine. Anyways, yeah I think the great thing here is that he was named the MVP of the match. Cool stuff, nice to see hard work paying off. Huk hwaiting!

MKP's attack was pretty bad. You can hold pretty easily with 1 gate fe into 3 gate. Plus MKP build a reaper which takes 50secs and did nothing with it. He didnt even try to scout for outlying probes. MKP fan speaking here

But yeah Huk is awesome! Seeing him work together with oGs so closely really brings a smile to my face

Yes! how could i not mention that he was also MVP such a huge deal.
and yes he was the first person to make the interviewer speak english ;p

Not to take anything away from HuKs win but yeah that attack was kinda botched.
without those perfect force fields I think it still could have won him the game tho.
what was with that reaper?
it could have at least killed huks probe that ended up being the mvp of the game ;p

and also i didn't say congratulations to TL too :D setting huge firsts all across the board <3

I'm no Huk fan, but you gotta give kudos to someone who wants to do the hard yards and train using the korean system. The GSTL success is the rewards for this perseverance.

And he uncloaked the hot interviewer girl's english ability.

This!
He is not giving up and accepting "making more money", "having more tournaments to participate in", "being comfortable", and "knowing how to speak the local language" as an alternative.
Hes striving to be the best of the best and he is doing a good job.
Everyone agrees no one practices longer.
I just wish he would learn korean so he can have conversations with other players.

Consider your team down 2:3 and ur team's "best player" alrdy lost (MC, TOP & Nada). Huk is the logical choice TheWind made. Who else was available as the ACE at the time?

Cezanne / JookTo / Luvsic / Zenio (wasn't on bench) /Ensnare /SuperNova / theSTC / Inca /Hero /Vines.

I respected TheWind more as a coach, he put his trust on a "foreigner" and it paid off, sweet victory.

Anyone know why Jinro wasn't there?
