For constantly keeping my hope up.

8 cents of saving is so awesome, especially on a 500 dollars item. Damn you Amazon - seriously, 8 cents? All of my hard work, moving the mouse cursor accurately to the "click for details" link while keeping myself from going insane.... 8 cents off?
There has to be a law about this.

haha, marketing, gotta love it:D
|
8 cents man, who knows you might need those to buy a burger sometime
|
Does anyone know why they do this? I am sure it's not that great for their brand and I really doubt people will buy because of an 8c saving. In fact I think some people will be turned off and not buy simply because of that.
|
Oh man. I love your troll face! :D :D

Haha. That is pretty funny. Normally my boys there at Amazon are not that bad with the hidden sale prices and whatnot. LoL.
|
Free shipping is the key there.
|
5/5 Would look for more deals on amazon.com.

Free shipping *with amazon prime*
If only amazon prime didnt cost $80 a month, and they randomly try to tag it onto your account when you buy stuff.
|
If an item goes on sale, it should be at least a 10% minimum of the original price. I don't know why they don't already have a system like that in place.
|
ahahahahaha 8 cents. That's fucking hilarious.
Did you happen to (somehow) go from .com to .ca?
I know when I shop at Amazon sometimes its just... CAAAAAAANNNNNNNAAAAAADAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!
|
dude it's 8 cents, used to be worth a lot
|
Get one and get another on sale for 8 cents less!!!
|
Hahahaahhaha 8 cents. Cause 8 cents that you save can get you so much in life.

At a supermarket near me there are a few items that are always on sale for like 10 cents of.... so the sign says something like: $2.09$1.99.
That is what I'm reminded of here... a perpetual sale isn't a sale lol... it's bullshit marketing.
|
some items aren't on sale...
this isn't on sale...

|
For all the great deals Amazon has gotten me I can put up with this.

I was looking online for a GPS. The msrp was 150 dollars. It said 50% off. I'm like, OK, this seems to be a fantastic deal.
They weren't charging msrp. THEY WERE CHARGING 400 BUCKS LOLWTF.
Yeah, so it was actually more than the normal price.

|
You can buy like-new (ie used for about 10 minutes) and save at least $50
Also, amazon has great deals, but I find equivalent/better ones on eBay
Edit: You also save in that you don't pay your state's respective sales tax
|
8 cents can almost pay for the tax on a dollar-menu item in nyc
|
Something similar happens with a local electronics store. They habitually price new stock 30-40 dollars over their competitors and then put it "on sale" so that it ends up at the normal retail price. Feel bad for anyone who buys their stuff because they think they're getting a bargain.
|
If you buy 100 that's 8 dollars off! What an amazing deal! lol
|
Doesn't walmart do the same shit, like they sell new xbox games @ $59.96, and then say they have everyday low prices, beating target's price by $.03

For the record, I *do* have Amazon Prime. I got their one-year free Amazon Prime offer because I am a student.

I do not think that is true. All the items I bought online so far charged me Washington state sales tax after I have entered my shipping information.

Oh fuck my life.

If it's even remotely close to the company i work for, it could just as well be someone who accidently entered the wrong price, then corrected it but put the corrected price into the wrong field. Happens at least once or twice a month here, quite annoying because usually the programmers are the first that get blamed.

8 cents man that's double the amount I donate to the McDonalds charity box after getting a morning egg & sausage combo with chocolate milk which costs $4.96 after tax.

For the record, Prime is actually $80 per YEAR. Less than $7/month. If you order things regularly (I do almost all of my non-grocery shopping online since I live in an urban area and traveling sometimes sucks), over the course of a year it saves quite a bit if you don't care to wait 3-5 days or whatever for FREE SUPER SAVER SHIPPING!!!!, and you don't want to have to order in $25 chunks. It's still a cost, but I think it's a fairly negligible one.

That's right. It's a sweet deal. And like I said, if you provide your university email they give you the membership for free for a year.

I got my free year, and when it expired, they let me renew for $39. So I've gotten 2 years of it for $39, which is none too shabby, I'd say.

You pampered foreigner, in Germany $0.08 is worth 34,640,000,000 Marks at the year of 1924!

Made me smile
I do loathe those types of situations, though.

Hahaha, 8 cents off! Did you post this on Reddit, as I noticed the use of rage faces?

Well did you buy it? I wouldn't pass up a deal like that.
