It's as if the game is going out of its way to screw me in this lock. What's that? you just made it to plat? Well done :D now play gold people with over 2000 games played and lose to them AND also play people in plat who are way way better than you.
I know exactly what the game is thinking now. "Look at this, he's losing to gold and against plat better demote him at the start of next season." It's going to happen and then I'll just be done. Mid plat. That's where I am. Not these gold portrait farmers who deliberately drop back down to play worse players. The game is punishing me for trying to improve by fucking me sideways with the players that I play.
I hate this lock because I have no fucking idea of where I am now or how close I am to demotion. jesusfuckingchrist.

its alright man, right after I got into plat it spawned my close positions ZvP for about 25 out of 30 games played back when P was unbeatable for zerg, needless to to say I was demoted BUT that demotion made me so mad I played all night and got right back up into plat by the next morning, you may get demoted but let the fact that you KNOW you can make it into plat drive you

Just relax and enjoy the game~ Keep fighting! Don't think about what league you are in just try to get to #1 ! gogo ~

Well it's a good place for it as well. Maybe if he had said "Use the search function in the future" we could be a little bugged but it is a fitting place.

On TL the blogs section, while generally your own space, still has to abide by the 10 commandments. New threads, even in blogs, must also provide a certain minimum amount of content to be acceptable. This one is fairly borderline but I feel bad and worry the OP will smash something if I close his blog while he's in this state of mind lol

That might make for a really entertaining blog post, though. Unless the something is his keyboard, PC, or monitor...
Would "I took a sledgehammer to my girlfriends car because my blog post got closed" count as a rant, or a girl blog, anyway?

maybe I spoke a little quickly, but how is telling him to post elsewhere gonna help sc2? why not just offer what little help we can and hope for the best?

my god you speak of the ladder system as if its a sentient, malevolent being
|
"Look at this, he's losing to gold and against plat " Im pretty sure that means you should be demoted... no one drops back to play people in lower leauges either... just dont worry about it, every game you're getting better
|
You won't get demoted if you stop playing ladder games :D

Dude, I know what you mean. When I got to Masters, it had me facing some really good Diamond players. It was like: "Let's see how you like, foot on the other shoe" or some shit like that.
|
Hmm... happened to me as well right after I got promoed. Rage inducing until you find out you don't get demoted, at which point you usually go "WTF Bnet?"

No matter what your brain tells you, the ladder rank is just a useless stamp (not entirely useless of course, one can expect someone in Master league to play better than the average bronze-league player, but you get the point) so have fun getting better at the game and just play. If ladder is too stressful maybe you should go off ladder for a while-

Concur.
I specifically don't play enough to rank up because I don't want a fun game to feel like a job, myself.
I'd rather stay in my Bronze league forever than not be enjoying the game from worrying too much about ladder.
