Hi guys. I am 20 and I used to play quite a lot of Broodwar, yet I never broke past D+ on ICCup. I played quite a bit of Nexus Word Wars and Sotis in SC2, but I just never got into the game like I did BW.
I was very active in the TL Maplestory guild for a while, but now I just loosely associate with the Kpop and HoN threads. (Though I do not speak a word of korean beyond kimchi and saranghae and I am <1200 MMR). You've probably also seen at least one or two of my condescending posts in political threads.
I have done many cool things in my life, such as travel and study. Expectedly, I have been to many places in the world and have read many textbooks. I like to sing and play guitar, but I don't dare do these things with my musical shower-passion in front of other people, since my vocals and fingerstyle precision are above-average at best. Sometimes I work up the courage to upload a music video to youtube, but I always get too embarrassed at how I look or how I sound that I very quickly stopped. I think I have problems with vulnerability.
I used to love close-up magic, but so few people were close enough to me to read through my sarcasm that I felt the art of illusion simply furthered my being from the goodness of human contact. While I still keep my my manual dexterity and can pull as good a sleight as any, I haven't performed in years.
I like to write poetry, but many who have read my poetry comment that I sound more mechanical than expressive... that I focus too much on the form in hopes that it might somehow compensate for my lack of heartfelt content.
My life is neither extraordinary nor tragic. My talents are many, but modest.
All-in-all, I'm a pretty mediocre person and probably not somebody you'd be proud to claim as an acquaintance.
So why do I bother to offer my hand in friendship?
Well don't you feel better about yourself in comparison already?

C- is doable as long as you know some solid build orders and raise the mechanics. You should hang out in op teamliquid on iccup sometimes, although most are afk most of the time...

In terms of mechanics I was totally capable of 220+ apm and had super solid macro. I just had a massive psychological problem of sabotaging myself with worse-than-horrible micro, throwing away entire armies into tank lines, getting my units caught while a ling backstab nabs my 3rd. It was just too stressful to stay cool and not feed my shuttle + reavers in the heat of the moment

I'm also mediocre! and on SC2 NA server, Gigaflop.263 if you ever wanna chat! I also play other videogames, though, so I haven't been on that much recently. But if you have Terraria, I'd be glad to start a new worldand do stuff!

Can I be your friend? I write bad blogs and tell everyone I'm learning to play the bass guitar, but I never practice... My poems can have lots of emotion in them, but never have good form! (except haiku) I spend my days playing video games and pretending like I'm completely independent, but I always get depressed when I'm alone. :/

sounds quite a bit like my life story. Instead of blogs though I write bad posts all over the rest of the site.

Sometimes having the idea that "if you're going to do something, do it well" can be destructive. Some people weren't cut out to have a goal and reach it through painstaking practice and study. You're not doomed to mediocrity, you just have to let your skills/relationships develop naturally and in their own time. Sometimes I feel a certain pressure that I'm not living up to my full potential, that I'm squandering my chances and that my future will be bleak and fruitless. But I ignore that idea because it doesn't make any sense.
I'd rather be happy and complacent than strain myself over preconceived ideas of 'success.'
/That whole thing may be irrelevant regarding how you feel but I think it may help your state of loneliness.
