Importance of Mood to SC2 Gameplay

Sometimes, I play really well - never miss an inject, always one or two overlords ahead of my supply, constantly using my larva, expanding at the right times, etc. Sometimes, I don't. The things that I notice when I lose or play poorly is that I am often pissed or just have lost - "tilt" if you will. When I'm in a rush and need to get back to doing something else, I don't focus and I play poorly (I was in three tournaments today and I played poorly in many of them because I didn't realize they all had overlapping start times....) So, SC2 is not just what you know, or how fast you can execute it, but your mood plays a strong component, it seems, in your gameplay as well. If nothing else, I think that's a good lesson for the day.

Marksman Malaysia523 Posts June 26 2011 00:50 GMT #3 It happens as this relates better to physical stamina, emotion and etc. A bad mood (Anger etc) is more likely to put you on a tilt and making very rash decisions. It happens in real wars long long time ago as well.

babylon 8765 Posts June 26 2011 00:51 GMT #4 This is why I play 4v4 team games on WC3 when I feel frustrated with SC2 1v1. It does wonders for the mood, I think!
