I clipped about 6-7 hours of the 24-hour just before I was supposed to go to bed. Sheth murdered my sleep schedule in cold blood. Colder than the wind-slicked whiskers of a cat leaping out of a twenty-story window. I know there was this thing with medivacs and how they neglect the establishment of borders, but this is personal.
There's elements to Sheth that are painful to watch. Painful because they demonstrate that getting motivated by anger and succeeding in SC2 are not correlated. All those 300-esque vibes I get when scrambling to click all over the place are without substantial merit.
You are who you are. Players and non-players of Starcraft pride themselves on their ability to think actively and be a super-genius. The edifying bastion of self-confidence through outsmarting an opponent used to be the cornerstone that I rested my lowly platinum career upon.
Sheth, after 20 hours of play, still plays better than most people after a full night's sleep, a good breakfast and a blow-job before sitting down to cruise on ladder. Some might say that should be expected of a pro-gamer, and given the nature of the game, they're right. However, for non-pros, it establishes that most of Starcraft II should probably be integrated into mechanics and game-sense and that no amount of extra preparation will help you beyond boosting your mood.
This directly relates to people like me who have an absolute addiction to buying stuff with the pretext that it'll make you slightly better at Starcraft. I bought a Filco w/ Cherry MX Brown Switches, and while it has allowed me to complain in longer strings, it did not tangibly make me better at Starcraft. Now, I stare down at these keys and loathe them deeply. Everything is collapsing around me.
Thanks, Sheth.
You don't actually have to be mad. This makes me mad, strangely enough. It is like studying for that test that got canceled. You spill your guts over the food pyramid in preparation for your 3-week-health-class exam in summer term, furiously reminding yourself that this is important. The email shows up in your box. You're hoping that it is an unfriendly reminder that your essay is due on the same day, but it turns out that your teacher really is that obsessed with Paul Mcartney. Ugh.
Same thing with Sheth with more roaches and less Beetles. He's not mad. At worst, his desire for peace and quiet causes him to shun his own teammates' cleaning lady's vacuum. Why can't he be motivated by the same visceral desire to choke my opponent through the internet? Normally, I wouldn't care, but he's good at this game and I'm not. You would think that all the emotional distress I put myself through would produce results, but they don't.
In fact, you become invincible. Sheth is the kind of guy that tugs on your sleeve even though you wearing a corset. When you slap his hand away, people will inevitably call you a "Tard Farmer". I mean, who else can tell Destiny to PG-13 it and actually get results? There's some serious power there. Dominion-level power. Next thing you know, we're going to have to blow up holographic platforms. "Good luck. Have fun. Smiley face!"
Complete dystopia awaits us. The thing is that Sheth isn't just a passive guy, he's an active nice guy or maybe a devilishly clever orator. I can't tell. In place of statements where "He sucks" or "He fucking sucks" were perfectly applicable, he uses something mellow, accurate and tempered. I can't help but like the guy because none of it sounds facetious. Terrible, terrible mind games here.
You want to be this guy. I want to be this guy.

Sheth is awesome, hes so persistently nice and manner it just gets through eventually. Melts the iciest hearts.
R1CH and I were watching the phantom game and TT1 is like "i'm not phantom" and Sheth just straight believes him the rest of the game, haha.

did destiny come on sheths stream? or were they playing each other on the stream? in which case... makes perfect sense he got results as destiny has said multiple times that while he's on his stream its his show and his rules, but he respects that others do not feel the same on their stream or their show.... if he got results on destiny's own stream... then i'd be impressed ;p

Did they ever find out who was the phantom in the end? I left the stream as it ended
The mono battle we're quite amusing when he finds out he can use the warp prism as a power grid

Hah yeah I remember watching that game. Was so funny.
Sheth so good, and such a nice guy. I'm glad he is really starting to see a lot more success.

I believe no one was the phantom in that game or maybe it was another.

This blog made me laugh out loud. Its good that Sheth is a good role model for people. If you want to be good. Be as mannered as Sheth.

What really impressed me while watching his stream was how he always seemed to be rooting for his opponent when commentating his own games. For example, when he would get a ling run by or something he'd say, "Aww, bad luck for white-ra here", or when attacking with mutas he'd say, "oh, nice defense there, reallyl shut that attack down", and stuff like that.
Really made me think about the mindset I often have or would have in those circumstances.

<3 Sheth, my favourite player and one of the reasons I started to play Zerg.

Apparently, the phantom was a grey Terran who secretly floated his CC to one of the dead mains.

Great write-up, I laughed. :D

This is so true, I mean who does that. It´s an awesome mindset to have and says a lot about Sheth really. Just always wanting the best for everybody.

Here I am, the lowly noob, wishing bad things to happen for my opponent. While Sheth is being a saint as well as... you know... a pro gamer.
I wish I was 1/10th of what Sheth is ;_;

Dood, I know! I always say that Sheth is the kind of person parents tell their kids to be like. Besides his sc2 skillz, he's such a good person. Also his ability to play even against the most frustrating cheeses and stay in his zen mood always impress me.

Sheth - The Dalai Lama of ESports

Sheth is definitely one of my top 3 favorite pro-gamers right now, he's just got such a great personality and he is soooooooooooo good.
|
The best way to describe Sheth. The big teddy bear you just want to cuddle before you go to bed.
|
Sheth is definitely one of the most inspiring people I've ever known about.
