It is yet again time for me to tempt you with my ridiculous creations and favorite dishes! Afterall, you need some substance to enjoy with the beer and games I recommend! ;D
Currently, I am munching on some crackers and some smoked cheddar cheese! I find that a lot of smoked cheddar can be soft or sweet in a way that really doesn't appeal to me, but this cheddar is my favorite (I get it at Vons and Safeway):

As for some of my fattier food creations, I came up with this beauty yesterday. I wrapped mini corndogs in bacon and used maple syrup as a dipping sauce. It was absolutely delicious. The crispy bacon added flavor and salt that was a perfect compliment to the warm, soft cornbread and hotdog. The maple syrup gave it that perfect sweet/salty combination and added some needed moisture!

Now, as for food other people make, my all time favorite is a sandwich from a small wine cafe in Vancouver, WA called La Bottega. I generally enjoy sandwiches, but they are far from my favorite food. La Bottega's creation completely surpassed any other food I have had. It is called the "giuseppe" and the description on their menu is:
GIUSEPPE Prosciutto Salami Fresh Mozzarella Roasted Garlic Mayo Tomato Basil Vinaigrette Ciabatta
Basically, it is a warm sandwich on ciabatta bread. The dryness of the bread is balanced by the mashed roasted garlic on the bottom and a thin layer of mayo on the top, as well as the juicy tomatoes within. The tomato, basil, fresh mozzarella and vinaigrette creates a caprese salad within the sandwich, which is a light, delightful taste that refreshes the mouth. The prosciutto and salami add salt and give a savory flavor that compliments the rest of the sandwich perfectly. There are only a few slices of salami, so it's flavor doesn't overwhelm the others. However, they don't hold back on the prosciutto, even though it is by far the most expensive ingredient, so the sandwich has a very satisfying amount of salty, savory meat on it!

Bacon-wrapped pork roast is the best by far though, imo.

God that sandwich is making my mouth water just reading about it. I ate a really good steak sandwich somewhere in Minnesota. Well prepared steak on home made bread with shoe string fries. Can't remember what the place was called but that was the best thing I've eaten in a long time. Now that I'm hungry, time to go eat some leftovers. fail.

I found out about epic meal time exactly 1 week after I had my jaw surgery, wich meant I still had 5 weeks until I was allowed to chew anything again... Everything they did looked delicius!

This reminds me of that episode of the Simpsons where Homer tells Bart to "butter up that bacon, boy" and then "bacon up that sausage!" If your food isn't going to kill you one day, it's not delicious enough to waste your time on eating.
