I FINALLY GOT D+!!! With a record of 21-21 and points of 2024, I achieve D+ rank on iCCup. Finally, my SC dream is complete (personal accomplishments, but i still need to meet FlaSh..) Anyways, the game was a huge disappointment, as my opponent left the game like 6 minutes in... finally building his first dragoon lmao. xD game went down as follows in the spoilers...
TvP on LT (LMAO LT!!!) I spawn at 3, he spawns at 9. Rush to dropship and tank... Scouts his base late but i find... NOTHING! one gate, one core, 2 pylons, and no goon yet... a minute later, his first goon pops... couple seconds later, he leaves without anything to say.
Well I'm still REALLY happy about my D+, as i have reached 1900 points this season like 3-4 times, only to drop back down to about 1750 again and work my way back up... Thanks TL for teaching me my builds and strategies. Without you guys, I'd be stuck at D forever. Time to get to C-!
Argh, posts like these make me regret dropping playing BW consistently, particularly on ICCUP, back in 2007. There was just something about Halo 3 (a series I've been a fan of since 2001) that enticed me to play it a lot and for a time play it competitively.
hehehehehe grats man, making to D+ basically means you're a really really shitty amateur but able to fuck up your average(and most above average) b.net nerds(so fun to play 1v1 play/obs games and totally fuck shit up)
congrats dude! getting that first D+ feels great.You'll find next season, that your rank will just acclimitate to D+ and you'll be striving and getting close to that C+.

the reason for no battle report is cause the game, my guy left with no reason. he just left the game and i got my points... *shrugs*
To everyone: THANKS SO MUCH! I really feel that TL is just getting better with every log-in that I do. The community is just so good. Will make a battle report of a sick intense game soon to compensate for the lack of one (or a video commentary).
And to the guy who asked why I play: I play because I love. SC is amazing, I love it so much. SC2 i feel is too easy to play now. I need some sort of huge challenge. plus my mom won't even let me get it (im only 14, yay for D+ at this age xD and plus my comp probs cant handle it.

you dont need to do the game that actually got you the rank. Just pick a good game you played while getting close, one you felt good about winning or was fun to watch and b report it!
Wow congrats man! Just below D+ was all I ever got... 1800-1900 area. Never tasted the true glory of D+. Then again, I was playing zerg- so y'know... harder.

D+ is about a hundred times harder than Masters. I haven't played any SC2 since season 2 started 'cause of school, like I remember it, the highest league (whatever it was at the time) was basically everyone with 60+ apm and 1 or 2 sturdy mass-builds.
People here need to get real. Post SC2 release getting D+ became a lot harder. Also, getting D+ with terran is nothing compared to getting D+ with protoss.
I remember how it was, 70 to 80% of the people in the D and D+ ranks were protoss, because it was so easy. You can just pick up protoss as a brand new player and compete at the D or D+ level.
So don't compare your old D+ protoss to nowadays D+ terran and trash him.
As for SC2 and master league. I don't know if it is easier or harder. But at least in SC BW you are good because of meaningful skills rather than mind games, guessing what your opponent does and countering cheese. In SC BW you actually have to master the gameplay of the game, which is a given in SC2 because of automations.

And no, someone who is new to the RTS-scene cannot pick up protoss and be D+ instantly (Ok Kolll did but thats besides the point). This should be pretty obvious for anyone who has ever played BW. Lastly, in my own experience, iCCup is not harder after the SC2 release. At least not at D+ level.

Yeah, I know he does. I was referring to his huge success in his first season. My point was that a large majority will not hit D+ without prior RTS-experience, regardless of race. (Its safe to assume that Kolll would have reached beyond D+ if he had played protoss as well).
