Today, I am sad to report, TL has lost a cherished and respected member of the community. I am speaking, of course, of platorepublic. Well known in this community as an exceptional blog writer, he contributed some of the highest quality content to ever grace this forum. Unfortunately, his degree from Oxford was not enough to save him from the treacherous perma-banhammer. This blog is a tribute to platorepublic.
Mod deleted previous one, and I don't see why it should be deleted. Really, if you don't want to read this thread, you don't have to come here.
I'm genuinely interested to see what types of guys we are attracted to, that's all.

That guy was pure awesome. There was a new blog on top by him everytime I visited TL (several times a day). But yeah, most of it was complete trash. And if a user gets banned so quickly it kinda tells the whole story.
Also, did he graduate from Oxford or not? If he did, that was incredibly fast :D

He was one of those guys who would always post a blog when I was browsing TL, I had the privilege of 1/5'ing all of them seconds after he posted, I always wanted him to have a negative reaction to it but he never showed it. Goodbye my dear platorepublic ;;.

Based on how perfect he thinks he is and how incredibly defensive he is, I would say there is a possibility that he has narcissistic personality disorder (NPD). Extreme defensiveness/sensitivity (which he had) and grandiosity are two key traits of that disorder...maybe we shouldn't be so harsh actually..

Also, it was funny how much he obsessed over his own sexual orientation. He spammed the shit out of the "Gay Starcraft Players" thread, not to mention his ill-fated "Guys You Find Attractive" thread and blaming all of his temp bans on the mods being homophobic.

If you want to know why I'm sad, it was because I ended up taking it upon myself to troll any and all his new blogs (go look for yourself):

So what did I do? Well this will be a lot more funny if you can actually speak French so GL
I googled the most classic and simple French recipie I could think of, Steak au Poivre, and combed through the entire thing systematically changing the spelling to be incorrect, and finished it off with some quaint insults in French slang.
* Concasser les grains de poivre. Détailler 8 steaks dans le contre-filet et les passer (paner) dans le poivre afin de le faire adhérer sur les deux faces.
* Mettre à chauffer dans une grande poêle 1 dl d'huile et 50 g de beurre. Étaler les steaks sur une plaque et les assaisonner de sel fin sur les deux faces. Saisir les steaks dans la poêle chaude sur les deux faces. La cuisson varie suivant le résultat souhaité : bleu, saignant, à point, bien cuit.
* Retirer les steaks au terme de leur cuisson. Réserver au chaud.
* Dégraisser la poêle, déglacer au cognac, laisser flamber. Ajouter le vin blanc, laisser réduire 2 minutes et mouiller au fond de veau lié. Laisser réduire 4 à 5 minutes. Retirer du feu et incorporer le beurre en petites parcelles par un mouvement de rotation du récipient. Rectifier l'assaisonnement.
* Disposer les steaks dans un plat. Napper délicatement les steaks de sauce. Servir.
