So there I was, setting up my stream for the KT vs Oz match after tbrown47's stream had died because of a BSOD. I linked it to a friend to test for framerate, since I'd just updated xsplit. He tells me it's been banned!
I'm sitting there wondering why.. and a few minutes later, I get an e-mail from support@own3d.tv:

Hello,
We unfortunately had to block your channel due to a violation of our Terms of Use. You were streaming copyright material. You also cannot restream streams from other websites. (Such as GOMTV, etc.)
Please read our Terms of Use and be sure to only stream gaming content. This will be our first warning. We will remove the Block soon. Please be careful in the future.

As I was surprised, I replied with the following: "I'd like to know what the content was on my channel that was copyrighted. Thanks." and received a reply a bit later:

Hello ----,
From the information we have you were restreaming a game from another stream, as well as restreaming GOMTV. This is against our rules. Restreaming things like ESL, GOMTV, etc., is forbidden. They have their own channels and they will stream to own3D.tv if they wish. We tend to keep our rules simple, keep the content of your streams game-related, and make sure you don't stream content from other streams.
I have removed the ban from your stream. Please be careful in the future.

Well, I was curious what they thought I was streaming, so I fired off another reply quickly:
"That is absolutely false information. I at no time had anything to do with GOMTV and I would like a screenshot, video clip, or other proof of this. I stream BW only."
and received this reply:

We don't usually take screenshots. But that is a good idea and I will enforce that from now on. We have a very small team, there is no reason for us to make up these stories. From the note I have here, your stream was locked because you were restreaming an SC2 game (commentated in Japanese we believe) and you also had a small window with a GOMTV stream on the bottem right corner. I'm not sure if it was you or someone streaming to your stream, but it's the report we have.
In any case, I have removed the ban and removed the warning as well. We only ask that you be careful in the future, and if you have done nothing that was reported, I will speak to my team and make sure they were not mistaken. And again, if you did not do what was reported, then you should not have to worry about it as you shouldn't be banned again.

Apparently BW and SC2 look so similar that they can be confused, and Korean is Japanese! I was streaming OGN during the Reach vs Anytime match (Set 1) and had MBC in PiP with Hyun vs Bogus. I'm not sure how they thought it was SC2, as I personally don't think they very similar at all. I can understand people not knowing the difference between different languages that they have no exposure to, but I think the images and sounds alone would give away that it isn't SC2. Not to mention, the logo for OGN and MBC look nothing like the GOM logo. Oh well, guess I'll be moving to JTV with all the other BW streamers.
