I had the worst 4v4 game eva a few days ago. Made me rage for the first time.
Our team was up against 4 Zerg teams, and for some reason, my allies just freaked out and left early in the game.
I went Kerrigan mode (except I was controlling 3 Protoss teams). But I felt like I was Kerrigan. I had to survive the swarm. I can't give up (yet). (Boys, you guys there? Where is the drop ship you promised?)
It wasn't pretty. I held my ground until I got a mothership, and sailed to a corner of a map where it was secluded from the ground units. By then creep already spread through the whole map. With the extra resources, though, I managed to cannon defend my base and made enough air units to slowly kill off the creep and mutalisks that were incoming steadily to harass.
Lame, but I had to use warp prisms to mine. The creep spread was relentless. Also it didn't help that there were spine crawlers everywhere...
At about the 2 hours mark, a stalemate was suggested ("Start mining resources or make upgrades for units.") Uh... hell no. Kerrigan never does stalemate. And in this game, she is going to win. I had a mothership with mass phoenixes and carriers.

And on the topic of the OP, I dont know if i could have handled losing a 3 hour game, it was probably devastating. Especially since you almost won, and Bnet 2.0 decided it felt like making you lose =[

Well, it's in the blog section, not the strategy forums, so I don't see the problem? As long as he has fun, that's all that matters. And to the OP...you surely have alot of patience O.o I'd personally take the stalemate after 2 hours

Also op 4v4 can produce some wicked awesome games, like 6pooling and still killing every single team member by yourself because everyone rushes to air with no wall-off =_=

Wow that's an incredibly amazing game. Props to you for sticking it out 1v4 (or whatever it was). The best is when the odds are against you and you're pulling through, so the enemy team starts harassing you because they know they're going to lose :D

yeah i once played a similar game.. was on this strange canalisation map where everyone has its own little platform and they are arranged in a circle.. well me and my allies were all cheesed at the same time. it was some patches ago where proxy rax was quite common, so me and my allies found cannons, barracks, gates and pylons near our bases. everyone raged, i was rax'd and randomed terran so i built up more rax, bunkers and massed like 70 supply of marines while my allies had all left long ago. when i had my base cleared of all the nasty bunkers and cannons i found out all of my outlaying terrain was also being spammed with pylons in a helpless try to contain me.. well it was a bit late and they were bronze (forgot to cannon their own base) so i just went around in a circle and wreaked havoc in base after enemy base until...

but well mr oxford i guess if your opponents were unable to kill some lolol air units in a corner when they could use the whole map they deserved to be tortured like that
