Overall, I'm not particularly pleased with my play tonight. I still turn Into a big mess once I have to control an army instead of playing Sim City. That said, I finally have run Into opponents who know what the Sound of a Nydus Worm means.
The match versus NYE in particular was interesting because I lured him away from an attack that surely would have won him the game by dropping a nydus in the back of his base. Eventually, I was popping so many worms that he mostly stopped paying attention to the Sound, as far as I can tell. I might do a cast of this match, since I played horribly, and I think I only took a victory by virtue of NYE getting annoyed rather than skill on my part.
I need to stay more on top of making macro hatches habitually. Far too often I end up without enough larvae, and queens with far too much energy.
In any event, I did manage to get through a bit of my bonus pool tonight. I won't say that I'm "well on my way" to achieving my goal of getting to zero bonus pool, but I think I'm at least net-negative for today.
I just have to play more!
