So this is the deal…
I have 2 accounts, one in NA server and another one in China.
In the NA server im silvern and in China im gold. I was thinking what could make the diference? Players? OS? or im just getting better? :^P
Today I played only in the China server and i felt really smooth, my gameplay, my build order, everything felt right, I was winning and losing (mostly winning :^P) I dont know if its got to be something about Im playing it on Windows, and in the NA server I play in Mac… Sooooo for tomorrow my task is to play in the NA server and see how I feel.
What do yo think is making me play better?
the lag free server, the people or the fact that I'm playing in Windows
btw I wanted to upload a replay but could get it up maybe later i'll post it and you can tell me what you think?

Most people in China are just discovering the game, while you already played before on NA.
So I'm more surprised that you are *only* gold.

Dude, do you have an account on Chinese bnet? The average skill level of PRC server is already way higher than that of the NA server. Moreover, the player in Masters and above are quite skilled. They have been playing on NA，Taiwanese and Koreans servers since the game's release. Wait till WCG, you will see clans like Legacy, EtD, WE.gigabyte, NV, 迅游, etc. DOMINATE.

Probably depends on the level at which someone is playing. While there will be a lot of great players with lots of experience in masters, the lower leagues will likely contain quite a few newbies simply because the official chinese launch was relatively recent.

I heard a lot of ppl cheat on the chinese server, something to do with the monthly fee price structure. It's only 20 bucks so ppl dont care if their account got banned.

I was not talking about top players. I know there are a lot of very skilled people at the top of the ladder, because they played on another server.
But at least 95% of the players on the Chinese server started to play two weeks ago... I don't know how long OP played on NA, but it should give him such a big advantage compared to people who are still learning which unit counters which unit... Anyway, I agree with you that the fact OP is not platinum or diamond shows that the average skill is already decent after two weeks !

Man, I'd like to try playing on the Chinese server...I played a bit on the TW one during beta.
I'd like to see how the level of competition stacks up to the Korean server.
Also, the Chinese Server = 中国战网, not 中国服务器 (just fyi)

the lag is definitely better, but ppl on chinese server suck, even some grandmaster leaguers are quite bad... i guess it takes a few months for them to catch up...

As I said in NA server im silver :^s so im not that super good im trying to get every day better, also is true that the Chinese need to catch up because after they put me in the division we were only like 8 ppl :^S
but anyway let see how it goes…

Yep you have to remember WC3/DOTA is still the big thing in China, and StarCraft II hasn't been in China for long.
